Buick Skylark 1967 Description
Up for sale is my 1967 Buick GS 400. Car was a Georgia car that was brought to New York a few years ago through the estate after the owner passed away. It sat in Georgia since 1993. Odometer says 67,755 and I am not sure if it is original or not. I purchased the car to fix up but I really don't have the time. This would make an excellent project or parts car if you choose. The car has a running non original 1968 430 motor. It seems to run pretty well but I have no history on it....remember,it sat 20 years. It has a bad water pump so I only ran it for a minute. It does not smoke or knock so I think that with a water pump,it may be good to go. Transmission appears to be original to the car...it is the ST400 and goes into gear and backs up. I have not driven the car because there are NO BRAKES!! I believe that there is a rotted rubber hose causing the issue as all of the lines underneath are in good shape. Has factory 10 bolt rear that is a non posi....not sure of gear ratio. The guy that I bought the car from tuned it up and got it running. The mufflers are rotted out but the front pipes look good from what i can see. The body of the car is pretty solid,it had a quick respray a long time ago but I see no signs of repairwork or accident damage. It has rot around the rear window and a few spots on the roof where the vinyl top was. I assume that the front windshield area is rotted as well as these cars are known for that, the windshield has a crack in the corner. Besides that, there is a spot on the lower left fender and quarter that are both easily fixable. That is all I really notice but there may be more when you get into it but the car is solid. The frame on the car is very nice and all of the body mounts are solid. The floors inside are all solid with a spot on the passengers front floor needing a repair. The trunk is pretty nice with just a few small holes as pictured. I have included a few pics of the underside...the car is really solid for the year. The interior is in need of total restoration. It has power windows, power seats and power trunk. The windows are unhooked and not working at this time, the seat clicks but doesn't move. I have the door panels and rear panels which are all rough but included. Yes,the GS400 emblems are on both panels. This is basically a great resto project or parts car if you wish. It depends on your ambition. Buyer to pay a $500 non refundable deposit at time of sale....Balance is due within 5 days. I accept Paypal or cash in person. Car is sold with last Georgia registration and bill of sale only! Shipping is the buyers responsibility. There are many online. I will store the car for 30 days after the sale, after that, storage fees will apply. Plan on trailering the car,it has no brakes and I know nothing except what I stated in the ad. I am located in Queensbury,New York 12804. Just 45 miles North of Albany off I87. feel free to stop by if you are local. You can email me or call me at 518*744*2441....with any questions you may have. This vehicle is being sold 100% AS IS....Don't assume anything..just ask. Thanks
