Willys Jeep Wagon 1952 Description
I bought this project but don't have the time for it. It's a super cool, very complete rust free Willys wagon. I don't know when, but someone converted it to a small block Chevy & 4 speed, and they did a fair amount of engineering to do so! If I had to guess, I'd guess it was done in the 60's, but could be slightly more recent. The engine may have been rebuilt since then, because it is pretty clean (as opposed to an original early 60's engine), runs really well and doesn't smoke at all! Trans & clutch work great with no issues noticed. The engine rocks a 2 barrel rochester carb, which seems to perform well. The choke could use some attention, and the engine could use some tuning. I believe the block numbers indicate that it's a 1962-3 283 chevy. It still has a generator, but this Jeep has been converted to 12V system. Most of the gauges (if not all) don't work.I have yet to try 4WD. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. Has stock axles (dana 25 & 44). Unknown transfer case, but it does have a Warn overdrive unit attached. (No pic of it at the moment, but I will crawl under it and take a few)
Interior is OK, as the seats have been reupholstered at some point. Most mechanical stuff seems to work on this gem!
Floors are solid! Frame looks solid! Suspension has had some minor mods... like additional coil springs added as helper springs. Stock suspension otherwise. I think the shocks have been modified for later tube style shocks? I don't know what the stock shocks were, but these seem to be added to this Jeep.
The guy I got it from said that the hydraulics (brakes) had all been gone through. I know it has a new master cylinder, but I don't know what else was done. he said new lines were ran, but I don't think that's true. I have not witnessed any leaks though. Brakes still need work, but will work to get it around.
Coolant was swapped
Oil was changed
Fuel Tank was cleaned out
Looks to have a new fuel pump (mechanical SBC)
Has a new ignition switch (but I would recommend a new wiring harness)
Has a brand new 12V battery
I ran new wires to the tail lights for brakes & running lights. Turn signals do not work correctly.
It does come with a current signed & notarized Arizona Title
Thanks for looking and don't be afraid to come take a look and a drive in it!
I can email other pictures or videos if you want others. I added what I had with me at work. I don't have any good ones of the front seats, but they look very similar to the rears shown.
Compared to a lot of the Willy's Jeeps I see on here, this one has a low reserve!!!
****My previous listing was deleted/removed by eBay because I had it listed incorrectly (Wrong section).*****

**** I will add more photos here in a second. I noticed that the master cylinder was a little wet on the bottom, I'd plan on swapping it out.****
There appears to be a bit of bondo on the tailgate & around the "added" taillights. It's very straight and very rust free otherwise. I tried to take photos of the underside. It's very straight and rust free.
I keep thinking of other things I should mention. There is a bit of rust (pictured) above the windshield This is the only rust I've found on it.
The louvers on the hood are custom! I got it that way. It'd be easy to butt weld those in and eliminate the brackets & bolts.
I believe the vent in the rear was added. I guess because it gets hot here. It functions easily, just looks silly.
All the windows work. Drivers side glass is the only glass that's cracked.
I have photos of the underside, Warn overdrive, etc. I thought I'd be able to add them but I guess there's a limit on the photos. Message me for those, if you want them.
