Willys 1960 Description
1960 Willys 4x4 pickup truckI bought this truck about six months ago with big dreams but without the big budget needed to do all the things I wanted to do. So now. I'm going to sell it because I'm not the mechanic I thought I was and have bloodied up my knuckles enough to realize I'm in way over my head. That said. Here's what I can tell you about the truckIt has an older Chevy 350 motor that runs great (really!)I put a new starter. new battery. new alternator. new fuel pump. new water pressure gauge. new bumpers. new fuel tank and sending unit. and (5) brand new Toyo A/T tires on Pro Comp aluminum Wheels. I have lot of new extra parts that I haven't installed on the truck (spare tire carrier. antenna. windshield wiper arms and blades. some emblems. door rubber moldings. hood rubber and some other misc. stuff) and I just had the oil changed. This truck runs great and starts right up. The Chevy 350 is mated to the original 3 speed transmission. and it has some sort of overdrive ( there are 4 shift levers)It needs obviously a paint job. the original drum brakes work but are mushy. needs some electrical work. the fuel gauge doesn't work. despite me installing a brand new gas tank and sending unit)Shocks are quite stiff and probably need replacingIt needs the front passenger side windshield glass replaced (I have it already. I just haven't installed it)And it needs an interior. (Although the seat is in pretty good shape) The firewall was cut to make room for the Chevy 350 and poorly redone with sheet metal work and should be done correctlyPlease keep in mind that this truck is a project. It needs a lot of work but as of right now. it runs good idles smooth. shifts good and stops. I drive it around the neighborhood and it's fun to drive. It just needs more than I can do or afford. I've never sold a car here on eBay and I'm offering local pick up only but if your willing to make any and all transportation arrangements the greatGood luck and happy bidding.
