For sale is my custom 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT. This is a super-fun car to drive. I wouldn't get rid of it, but I have 4 other cars and a motorcycle, so something had to go. This car was built from a rolling chassis in 2010, and includes an upgraded 3.4 liter V6 out of a 1995 Chevy Camaro. The factory 3-speed automatic transmission has also been upgraded to a 4T60 4-speed automatic with OverDrive, out of a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix. The steering column has also been replaced with a tilt unit, and a detachable hub for the NRG quick-release steering wheel.
Power windows, power door locks, power disk brakes, NRG detachable steering wheel, 17” Drag rims, sunroof, Holley throttle body, Sprint headers, tilt steering column, E3 spark plugs, AM/FM CD player, Holley air intake
New shocks & struts, new brakes, new carpet & floormats, new polyurethane suspension bushings, new axle, new catalytic converter. Lots of extra parts included!
The Good: All of the 'big stuff' has been done to this Fiero. The drivetrain has beencompletelyupgraded for power and reliability. Low miles on the engine (under 25,000 miles).Runs great, lots of power and the overdrive transmission means that it cruises along effortlessly at highway speed (75 mph at around 2200 RPM in high gear). Top half of the engine has been re-sealed, so no leaks. Neck-snappingly quick off the line.
The Bad: Chip in windshield (can be fixed – does not need new windshield), stereo works, but backlight bulb is burned out. I understand that it’s a cheap repair, if you remove the unit. AC compressor has not been connected since I’ve owned the car, so I don’t know what it’ll take to fix, but everything appears to be there. Needs a set of tires.
