Pontiac Grand Prix 1987 Description
This is an all original 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix LE. There isn't much to say about this one, he car runs and drives like new. It has a Chevrolet 5.0L 305CID V8 engine and a heavy duty TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. I purchased this car from an estate sale after the original owner passed away. The car still had its original 1987 Georgia title before I registered it in my name. I am the second owner of the car. This classic Pontiac has all available power options and everything functions properly. The car is equipped with a positraction, imited slip differential (I'm uncertain of the gear ratio). The car also has a DrawTite tow hitch. From my understanding, he car was used for family trips back in the late 80s and early 90s. The car has only a little over 40k miles on it and those are highway miles. The car was garaged for most of its life, ntil the original owner ran out of garage space and decide to park it outside. The previous owner's wife drove the car back and forth to church on occasion. The paint on the hood, oof, nd deck lid is fading and peeling, ut the paint on the sides of the car is nearly perfect. The car sat for a few years before I bought it. The car has absolutely no rust and virtually no body damage, here are maybe two small dings on the entire body of the car. The upholstery on the front driver's seat is slightly torn and there is a small rip on the passenger side upholstery as well. The back seat looks like no one ever sat on it. The carpet is clean. The upholstery is clean. The dashboard doesn't have one crack in it. The door panels are beginning to fade at the top. The vinyl top is cracking and will need to be replaced. One emblem was missing, o I went ahead and removed all of the emblems from the car, hey don't do these cars any justice. Overall, his car is in great condition. This is the condition you want your project car to be in before you begin to personalize it. If I wanted to keep this car and spruce it up, hen I would paint it the original color, eupholster the seats and door panels in blue vinyl, ave a new vinyl top installed, nstall a set of headers and a pair of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers with a true dual exhaust, would contemplate installing an Edelbrock Performer Series intake and carburetor, nd I would sit the car on a brand new set of YearOne 17" aluminum Pontiac Rally II wheels. These are relatively cheap upgrades that would double the value of the car. I had reservations on whether I really wanted to sell this car, ut all doubt was eliminated when one of my dream cars was posted up for sale in my area at a very reasonable price and I HAVE to have it!!! So, 'd like to sell this car as soon as possible.
Pontiac has always been considered to be General Motors' luxury line. Pontiac was the GM company that strived to surpass other GM manufacturers in providing quality, tylish, nd luxurious cars for consumers on a modest budget. Unfortunately, ontiac stopped manufacturing cars in 2009. The fourth generation Grand Prix is part of GM's G-body platform. It is the highest optioned car on the 1978-1987 G-body platform (aside from the performance model cars like the Buick Grand National and Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds). It is also the rarest of the non-performance model G-body cars. Pontiac's production numbers were always exceeded by it's partner companies, hich subsequently makes Pontiac cars rarer and more desirable. I could milk this all day, ut if you're viewing this ad then I'm certain you are aware of Pontiac's automotive excellence.
