Pontiac Grand Prix 1987 Description
This is an all original 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix LE. This car is in great overall condition, eeding only minor cosmetic restoration. The car is equipped with a 5.0L 305CID V8 engine, hich is coupled with a heavy duty TH350 automatic 3-speed transmission. The odometer reads a little over 42,000 miles. Being that the odometers in these cars only show 5 digits, etermining the actual mileage can be a challenge. However, his car is clean enough to only have 42k miles, espite the condition of the paint and the upholstery, ut hey, his is Georgia and our sun scorches! The car runs and drives like new! The car is also equipped with a positraction limited slip differential and a tow hitch. The car is completely rust-free! The car is loaded with all available power options. This car doesn’t need much to be pristine. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition with virtually no body damage. There are maybe two miniscule dings around the entire car. The car needs to be repainted – the paint on the deck lid is faded and cracked, he paint on the hood is faded, nd the paint on the roof is faded as well. The paint on the sides of the car is in great condition. The vinyl top is cracked and faded. The interior of the car is in great overall condition. The dash is completely crack-free. The upholstery is pretty clean. The upholstery on the front seat is ripped in result of heat deterioration. The top door panel upholstery is deteriorating as well. The carpet is in great shape. All of the interior trim is present. All of the exterior chrome molding is present. One emblem was missing when I purchased the car, o I removed all of them.
I am the second owner of this car. When I purchased the car it still had its original 1987 Georgia title. This car was part of an estate and I purchased it from its original owner’s family. The car was garaged for majority of its life, ut had been sitting in the owner’s driveway for the past few years. The previous owner’s elderly wife would drive the car to and from church and the grocery store. I am hesitant to sell this car and I often contemplate whether or not I will actually sell it. I’ve only owned the car for two months. However, am a connoisseur of the classic G-bodys and I buy, ell, nd trade these cars quite often. I’m only willing to sell this car to someone who will appreciate it and preserve its classic nature.
The price may fluctuate, ut I am a fair and reasonable guy. This car could sell for $8k+ fully restored and it wouldn’t cost more than $3k to restore. Search around, ither you’ll find a Grand Prix in pristine condition for double my asking price or you’ll find one in worst condition for a few hundred bucks less than my asking price. So, eedless to say, y asking price is firm. Feel free to make offers, ut I make no promises.
Pontiac has always been considered to be General Motors' luxury line. Pontiac was the GM company that strived to surpass other GM manufacturers in providing quality, tylish, nd luxurious cars for consumers on a modest budget. Unfortunately, ontiac stopped manufacturing cars in 2009. The fourth generation Grand Prix is part of GM's G-body platform. It is the highest optioned car on the 1978-1987 G-body platform (aside from the performance model cars like the Buick Grand National and Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds). It is also the rarest of the non-performance model G-body cars. Pontiac's production numbers were always exceeded by its partner companies, hich subsequently makes Pontiac cars rarer and more desirable. I could milk this all day, ut if you're viewing this ad then I'm certain you are aware of Pontiac's automotive excellence.
