Plymouth GTX 1971 Description

1971 Plymouth GTX

440 4 bbl, 727 Auto

Numbers matching engine

2 Fender tag car

I am selling my ’71 GTX, It’s a nice, original car. Car is not running, but does include the original engine and a non-numbers matching 727 auto trans (core).

Car has been repainted its original color at some point in time, I have rebuilt the front suspension and updated it. New parts include: Powder coated K member, new: tubular lower control arms, torsion bars, torsion bar boots, upper control arms, sway bar bushings, front disc brake conversion front shocks and a new steering box. I have all the original drum brake equipment (I do not have the original torsion bars though). I have decoded the fender tags below. Take a look and you can see what all the car wasborn with.

All the body numbers match the Vin numbers, If you want to buy it now contact me and lets get it put together. I have listed this car with much hesitation, so please don't waste my time and I wont waste yours.

I have both fender tags, no build sheet

I have rebuilt the front suspension and below is what is new:

-New tubular lower control arms

-New upper control arms

-All new bushings

-New torsion bars

-K member has been powder-coated

-New front disc brake conversion kit (still has manual brakes)

-New front KTB shocks

-New Strut Rods

-Newer BFG tires all the way around

Drivers side floorboard has a small rust hole, some rust in the rear ¼ panels. Trunk floor is very nice. I have a spare rust free trunk lid, as you can see the original one has a rust hole in it. Overall this is a great car that needs put together and needs a new home.

Some rust here and there, but very solid and a great canvas to start a worthwhile restoration. Only selling because I would like a 4 speed car

Clear Kansas title in my name. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
