Plymouth Fury 1957 Description
******************NO Reserve************************Here we have a real rare Mopar..... 1957 Plymouth Fury all original and parked since 1963!!!! This Fury has 22K original mile's and was a one previous owner car. The owner, who is currently live's in Iowa was given this Fury by her Father who in 1950's and 60's owned a Dodge and Plymouth Dealership. When she graduated HS he gave this Fury off the showroom floor brand new so she could travel to Califoria and attend College. The Lady used this car throughout College and once returned home parked it due to a oil leak which they fixed although she decided to get another new car. Her Dad brought this car home and just parked it behind the Dealer from 1963-1975 at which time he passed and the Dealer was sold. The car was then placed in the family barn and moved in 1986 to another garage. Unfortuantley the car did sit outside for many year's on cement however the rain water found it's way inside trunk, outer rocker panel's(only 12" each side) and passenger side front floor(minor). These 57 Fury's are extremely rare with only 7,438 made and this is car# 4669 and correct Body code#404. This is a complete Fury which will need a total restoration and drive train rebuilt as the motor hasn't been started since 1963. It has Power Steering however very rare Manual Brake's and has the very rare 7 button radio option. The seat cover's are removed although in bag's. The headliner is hanging and will need the center section replaced.
The Body is in nice shape, very little rust as mentioned above however the paint is shot. The glass is original Solex and complete not cracked. The Tire's are brand new Bias Ply's correct size. The Trunk center and seal lip(couple section's) is rotted out, the extension's are nice, Quarter's and Fender's are solid, and the Floor Pan is almost rust free except a small section of the passenger floor.
The repair the medal on this car I am adding a 98% rust free 57 Savoy 4 door(trunk and floor same as Fury) which does run and will have everything needed to repair and make this Fury perfect. Yes you get BOTH car's in this Auction!!!!!!
I encourage anyone interested to come and inspect the car's wth an appointment PRIOR to auction's end. Buyer is responsible for the transport of both car's however I will assist the shipper anyway possible. Please call me if you are serious only!!!!!!
