Oldsmobile Cutlass 1979 Description
1979 Hurst/Old, great shape, good frame, rust free body, very solid car. Engine is strong, tranny shift perfectly. I got the car about 3 years ago, and a lot of wear components had been replaced, looks like some suspension parts and other items as it is very clean underneath. Engine bay is super clean, all original 350, 4 barrel carb. Recently replaced muffler and tailpipes at a custom muffler shop using a Magnaflow stock-style performance muffler. Pretty quiet overall, has a mild grumble when warmed up. Only issue I have had was the starter went out last year, had it rebuilt, not exchanged, by a custom starter specialty shop nearby, so it went right back in with ease. Working digital clock. Replaced factory front speakers. Chrome Hurst shift handle, have original.
A/C compressor is locked up, I have never gotten around to fixing it, but all stock components are there and in place. Black paint is great shape and was repainted. The gold paint on the hood appears original and is a bit blotchy up close with some minor chips/dings on the header panel in front of the hood. The chrome trim around the bottom/back side of the opera window has some pitting. I have two replacements in good shape that I just have not installed yet. The top left and right front bumper fillers are missing, don’t notice is as much on the black car. I know they make repops. Front bumper has some pitting on one side can see up close. Lower part of back bumper has some hazing up close, appears to be normal wear on old bumper. Interior is super clean.. No rips or tear in upholstery. The upper part of the back seat right by the window has sun fade wear. One side has a bit of fabric that disintegrated away where it joins the package tray. Unfortunately, I did not realize it was so worn when I was doing some detail cleaning last year, and by touching it, just wore off. Other than that, back seat is all good.
Primarily selling because I moved and I have limited space to keep cars. Really solid car, strong running car and I am willing to let it go at a reasonable, but fair, price to another Hurst admirer. Will work with you on co-ordination with your shipper if need be.
