Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 1971 Description
Very unique car. I purchased this car 12 years ago out of New York and have put less than 1,000 miles since purchase. It has mainly sat in my garage or in long-term storage. The car is straight and numbers matching. It does need some body work, interior refurbishing and work done on the convertible top. I have new seat skins and a new convertible top - they are still in the original boxes - I have not opened. I had intent on doing some light refurbishing to the car. I wanted a driver, not a show car, but 2 daughters, work and other hobbies just got in the way. I no longer have room for the car and both daughters are in college now. It has been in long-term storage for the last 5 years. The previous owner had the engine completely overhauled right before I purchased the car. The engine overhaul was $5,000+ and was performed by Proformance Unlimited in NJ. The list of work performed to the 455 Rocket engine (390 HP):

In addition, the person I purchased the car from installed a new front end deluxe rebuild kit from Kanter. This would be a great car for anyone wanting to get in the classic car hobby. It does need some work, but the hard part and expensive part is already done.
Although this work was 12 years ago, the car has sat in storage almost that entire time. Just needs some refurbishment.
