Being a hobbyist in the arena of collector cars I must admit that Mustangs have always retained a special place in my heart. That being said this pony car is one of my all time favorites!

There is much that can be said about this vintage vehicle. It has a rich history!

It was ordered by a family who were natives of Bloomington, Illinois.

Although the lady of the house originally wasn’t a fan of the Mustangs when the debuted in 1964 her aspirations changed with the introduction of the 67 model!

She and her husband took possession of this car around the fourth week of September / 1967.

The purchase order included the ever so desirable Sports Sprint Package!

This amazing pony car was delivered to Galloway Ford in Bloomington, IL!

I would like to say at this time that I have the original title document (no copy) IN MY POSSESSION!

This wonderful piece of historical documentation will be passed on to the next owner.

As if it couldn’t get better “I also have the original dealers invoice & bill of sale”!

Here you have the true meaning of “a once in a life time opportunity”! These documents alone will ensure that the car will continue to appreciate!

The “MUSTANG SPRINT” was introduced the year before in (1966). These special addition models really added pizzazz to the Ford lineup!

Although the limited production cars were a hit with the Ford fan base the majority of them were produced with V/6 power plants.

The good news is that this classic convertible was manufactured with the optional V/8!

(more about that later)

One of the first things that people everywhere noticed about this vintage Ford is its bright red factory (T-Code) red exterior!

The color code was coined Candy Apple Red by the manufacturer. The exact color is gorgeous & highly coveted by many collectors today!

This 67 Ford has only been painted once outside of its factory covering.

This task took place in 2014 at Manta’s Customs Auto Restorations. The shop is not far from the dealership that originally sold it.

The paint is absolutely gorgeous! The exterior is extremely shiny and pleasing to the eye! I was able to verify that the base coat clear method was used to apply the material on the panels.

The paint still shows a bit of the original patina associated with its factory covering. It is void of the common mistakes created by a journeyman who is not well versed in their craft. The exterior is smooth to the touch and very presentable!

This is also an accident free vehicle. Each panel is straight and has great contour!

Almost all of stainless & chrome trim was fully restored as well. The second owner was heavily involved with the restoration process.

This fact is evident when considering the meticulous details that were attended to.

The factory chrome bumpers have been restored to like new condition. The door handles and window trim also were refurbished properly.

The front grill and associated moldings have been protected throughout the years and the cowl panel is damage free.

It is very easy to appreciate the intricate details regarding this Ford. The factory original directional hood looks magnificent and displays the correct gaps associated with manufacturing specifications “Looks great from all angles”!

This Mustang came equipped with factory installed rocker panel moldings. They have been thoroughly cleaned and reinstalled with new hardware.

A set of polar white GT style side stripes wonderfully grace the lower rockers!

All of the surrounding exterior glass fits properly and there’s not a single piece damaged or out of place!

The exterior lights were tested along with every single / marker light (performing properly).

The everyday crowd, classic car enthusiast and almost anyone else who comes in contact with this pony seems to LOVE it!

Upon opening the door of this vehicle you will find a very inviting interior!

This Ford was actually manufactured with beautifully crafted black vinyl buckets and interior upholstery!

The raven black interior provides the perfect contrast against the exterior!

The seat covers were replaced by Barbs Upholstery in Bridgeton Missouri. The shop is known for restoring high end special interest vehicles & classic cars.

Before they were replaced extra padding, foam and lumbar supporting cushion was added for extra comfort. The seats not only look great but also truly make every excursion a pleasurable one!

There was a grand effort put forth to make sure that this Mustangs interior was respectable from every vantage point.

The carpet was replaced with new loop pile material which ensures its durability (looks great)!

The original dash pad was removed, guarded and resealed. All of the factory gauges are functioning as they should along with the original FORD radio!

An electric clock was installed at the assembly plant “unique & nostalgic”!

The standard black door panels are in excellent shape and have been completely restored!

They are equipped with restored window cranks, door handles and other connecting hardware.

The inner quarter upholstery has been well taken care of and still looks amazing!

This Mustang has its original floor mounted shifter still securely fashioned inside as well.

The glove box shuts properly and the sill plates are in terrific condition!

From front to rear this Mustangs interior plays its part well.

There’s also a show quality steering wheel for you to grip” when cruising in this time machine!

There is not a single crack or chip to be found anywhere on this original steering wheel!

This wonderful Mustang has a fairly new Dutch White quality power top installed that lowers with ease!

The manufacturer of the canvas is TMI ….they are a proven supplier that has been producing high end tops for many years.

The restoration shop went above the call of duty when undertaking the task of replacing it! They even serviced the convertible top pump, lines & hoses.

Dropping this top with confidence is no problem at all!

Many owners and collectors tend to neglect the fact that these components need to be replaced if they are original to the car. Failure to address the needed preventative maintenance / service on the previously mentioned parts results in frustration and very expensive repairs!

No worries here …. all of the hard work has been done for you she’s ready for years of trouble free enjoyment!

This Ford also received new top pads, tacking stripes and rear window! The car looks fantastic with the top up or down!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… I will talk about why most Chevy guys hate it!

No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!

The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 289 engine! The original engine block was freshened up in 2013!

However, there was nothing of major significance that had to be done. The original owner still had the car serviced at Dahl Ford until 2005!

Preventative maintenance has been performed routinely on the factory block so the car runs better than she did new!

The motor has plenty of giddy up!

LOVES THE OPEN ROAD!

On most days you can start the car by pressing the pedal once & twisting the key!

THIS PONY RUNS STRONG!!!!

The car is very user friendly but, it still has enough power to command street respect!

The technician who inspected the block and tuned it delineated all of the pertinent information regarding its condition. All of the internal components are in optimal operating condition!

The car has recently had new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, seals, fuel pump, battery, radiator hoses, belts and too much more to installed!

It has also had new shocks installed recently.

A fairly new radiator was recently installed to keep things cool under the hood as well!

The entire brake system totally gone through & serviced “stops on a dime”!

The engine bay still has the very desirable Sports Sprint air cleaner with optional chrome lid!

This car is nice enough to take the wife out in or for a Sunday drive!
