Overview

Black and Beautiful this 1969 428/4V Super Cobra Jet Pro-Touring, Fastback means 'Absolute Business'. Starting with a true 1969 Super Cobra Jet Mach 1 body this mustang was treated to a professional rotisserie restoration and painted Black on Black with OEM red stripes.

As stunning as the car looks, performance was the ultimate goal and no expense was spared in giving this car a Pro Touring build out. A custom Keith Craft Racing engine was sourced for the project. Stroked to 462 cubic inches! And Dyno tuned to 601 HP and 594 ft lbs of torque, this engine uses a SCAT crank and rods, Keith BB Ford pistons. Oil is supplied by a Milodon deep sump pan and pickup. Edelbrock Stage 2 aluminum heads were ported and gasket matched to a Edelbrock RPM intake. Valves are controlled by a hydraulic roller cam and Erson Roller Rockers. To feed this mustang a Barry Grant Race Demon 850 Carb was utilized. Putting power to the wheels is a David Kee close ration big in big out Top-loader force fed through a Hays steel billet flywheel and Centerforce dual friction clutch. The Rear end is a Moser Engineering Custom built Ford 9 inch with aluminum case, 35 spline axle and 411 gears. All of this is spun by a polished aluminum driveshaft. Stopping is handled by Baer Brake Systems Track 13 inch Disks up front and 12 inch Baer touring discs in the rear. For modern handling and an aggressive stance a Total Control Coil Over Front suspension with 1-1/8 front sway bar was used along Total Control Power Rack & Pinion Steering. The rear end was treated to a set of Reverse eye five leaf rear springs with a 3/4 rear sway bar and Edelbrock Classic Series Shocks. The car sits on American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels with 17 inch BF Goodrich KDW 235s front and 275s tires in the rear. To keep the vintage feel the passenger cabin was treated to a brand new stock 'Deluxe Interior' with comfortable seats and no modifications save the addition of auto meter gauges and a high end Alpine stereo system.

The car comes with a deluxe Marti Report, and full documentation including all dyno results and receipts for the entire build. The results speak for themselves. This stunning Mach 1 is a monster of a car that draws crowds everywhere it goes and has the muscle to match.
