Ford Mustang 1992 Description

1993 Ford Mustang Cobra Pro Touring Recreation – total custom Mustang built from a clean 1992 Mustang LX 5.0, speed car (it is titled as a 1992 Mustang LX). Car was fully disassembled and painted white in 2006/2007 (was a deep red color). A full 1993 cobra body kit was added with the Cervini’s 4” Cobra R hood and stalker front end. The car has no rust to speak of, ut it is a driver. The interior has the black premium LX cloth seats and the carpet is also very clean. New Cobra floor mats included. Steering wheel shows some wear, ut interior overall is very clean. The car is a completely custom pro-touring style fox body. The suspension is aftermarket and has been lowered. It rides firm, lanted, nd has a tight, olid feel. It has adjustable caster/camber plates, delbrock performance components (shocks, truts, prings), djustable upper control arms, delbrock lower control arms installed 5,000 miles ago.

It has 5-lug conversion with cobra brakes and FR500 polished aluminum wheels (17x9”) on Front and (17x10.5”) on the rear. The wheel wells have a rolled lip to fit the 315/35 ZR17 Nitto Extreme drag tires in the rear. The front tires are 255/40ZR17 Nitto 555 – all of the tires are like new with only 700 miles. The rear end is a Ford 8.8 rebuilt with Ford Racing (FRPP) 3.73 gears (and FRPP aluminum cover), warr bar rear end brace, 1 spline 5 lug axles linked up to FRPP aluminum drive shaft (with drive shaft loop) and connected to a Tremec TR3550 that has been built for power (with SPEC Stage 2+ clutch) and Hurst shorty shifter. It has full, elded-in, ubframe connectors to stiffen the chassis. The car has a bunch of other new trim parts, eadlights, obra white face gages, utometer gages, nd much more. Has Alpine stereo CD head unit. Stereo works great. Tires are new when engine was installed, ave only 700 miles on them.

The engine is almost new with less than 700 miles on it. It is a 408W stroker motor built from a 1974 block with forged internals including RPM forged stroker crank, beam rods, nd Probe-33cc dish pistons. The short block was built by Woody at Fordstrokers.com. I have all of the details/receipts on the build from 2012. It is bored 0.060” over – which makes it a 414 ci. It has new AFR 195cc Renegade Heads (competition ported) with 58 cc chambers giving it a 10:1 net compression ratio, TI custom billet steel roller camshaft (.624” lift intake, 579 exhaust), unati link bar lifters, rick Flow R series Intake and 90mm Accufab throttle body and 90mm FRPP mass air sensor. Has FRPP 42 lb/hr fuel injectors and 255lph BBK in-tank fuel pump. This engine can handle a supercharger (or turbo), ut my plan was to run it naturally aspirated for reliability. Bob Monks (well know Mustang builder/tuner and owner of STL Mustangs) built the top end and had Flowtech Induction (FTI) grind a custom cam just for this engine - the build specs were sent to Ed Curtis (at FTI) with goal of 525Hp and a wide, lat torque curve. It has March Pulley’s billet accessory drive set-up with A/C delete and smog delete. It has new 110Amp alternator, ew PS pump, nd battery re-located to the trunk. The engine is cooled by a Mark VIII electric fan and runs great on the hottest days of summer. Has BBK 1 ¾” long tube headers, ypes 3” Stainless X-pipe, lowmaster Supper 44 mufflers, nd full 3” Flowmaster Cobra syle (polish stainless) tail pipes out the back.

Over $10,000 invested in the engine build. Dyno run and professional tune (with a new custom computer was installed) performed by Bob Monks at STLMustangs. 525HP at the crankshaft. It put down 430HP at the wheels, nd 450lb-ft of torque! This engine is a monster. It starts right up with the fuel injection tuned for street driving.and idles at about 1,100 rpm. The Car runs and drives like it should. All of the heater, an, adio, nd controls all work. The speedo cable pulled out and is currently not working, ut that is an easy fix. The engine sounds good, as a lope to the idle, nd the Flowmaster mufflers have a deep and "mean" sound to them. It sounds throaty and really thumps. This car is fast and would likely run in the high 10's or low 11's in the quarter mile with some basic track set-up and a good driver. I have never racer it at the track though.

This custom pro touring mustang has $30,000 invested in it [in total] to date. It is a weekend cruiser and has never seen the rain since I have owned it. It has been garaged and babied by previous owners that I know back to 2005. It is driven very little. Maybe once a month on weekends for car shows and local cruises. I have lots of pictures, ideo, nd full file of receipts for the car. I had a certified appraisal done in 2014 and I will share that paperwork with any serious buyers. No trades on this car. It is a very unique and clean custom fox body. These are getting very hard to find in nice condition. This one is restored and really needs nothing. Drive it and enjoy it. Please contact me for more information. I have been a ebay member for over 15 years with a 100% satisfaction rating. I try to honestly represent my listings and I have sold a few cars on ebay previously. It is best to see any car for sale in person and inspect it yourself. I encourage any serious buyer to come and see the car. I have posted a lot of pictures of all angles for you to asses the condition. The underside is not spotless, ut it is clean with no visible rust. There is no rust on the lower edges of the doors and no rust on the wheel wells (where mustangs commonly rust if parked outside). The headers are new to the motor, ut are chrome, o they showlightsurface rust starting at the collectors, ust from thermal cycling. The car is always garaged and only goes out in nice weather.

I added a photo bucket album to share videos and photos with any interested buyers. Please see this link for over 100 photos and to listen to the engine running in a couple videos.

This is a top notch fox body mustang and I hope the high definition photos and video help you see the true condition of this car. The certified appraisal of the car was for $19,000 and my reserve is much less than that.

I forgot to mention a couple things: it has a new FRPP high torque starter, SD 6AL ignition system, BK Aluminum Under drive pulleys, trut tower brace, ew Urethane motor mounts.

Also, he AFR heads have Comp Cams Ultra Pro Magnum roller rockers (1.60:1 ratio) - which are really top quality steel rockers (the top end build is top notch on this engine).

I noticed there are a couple hairline cracks in the paint on the Cobra rear spoiler. They are NOT noticeable from5 feet away, ut you can see them once you are looking at them - looks like a 4" and 6" piece of hair laying on the spoiler from close up.

Again, ext or call me with any questions or concerns. I can text photos to you within minutes to help answer any questions you might have on this amazing mustang.

Thanks,

Brian
