The Ford Model A was the first mass produced and first recognized station wagon in the automotive world. There were only 2. 48 Woody Wagons built for the 1931 model year and not many are left in existence today due to the wood construction of the vehicles. The exterior of the Model A is finished in both Maple and Birch wood that has a beautiful gleam. The flares and running boards are finished in a glossy black paint – which fell into the 1914 “any color so long as it is black” policy. implemented by Henry Ford. It is often stated that Ford suggested the use of black paint from 1914 to 1926 due to the cheap cost and durability of the black paint. The engine compartment and front are finished in a tan that also looks great and compliments both the wood and black paint. The paint is in great condition. showing only minor imperfections. The chrome is in beautiful condition with a beautiful shine. The radiator is protected with a stone guard and the straight bumper is also gorgeous. This particular Model A comes with tan side curtains on the rear of the vehicle. as well as a storage bin for the side curtains and a single side mount on the driver’s side.
