Ford Model T 1926 Description
This is a 1926 Model T Ford Roadster Runabout. Henry Ford only built this body style in 1926 and a few months in 1927. They are getting harder and harder to find. This one has recently finished a frame off restoration. Every component of this car has been made new. This started as a well preserved original. Runs nice and cool as it cruises easily to 50 mph.The motor: Rebuilt with .60 over pistons balanced crank Aluminum pistons high lift cam high compression intake Aluminum head. New Kingston carburetor. The Magneto system has been removed from the flywheel (to lighten it) and a distributor system has been installed for reliability. Oil fins on new flywheel and oil cooler added. New Aluminum Radiator fan belt pulley etc. These improvements more than doubles the horsepower from 24 to over 50.Electrical: Still all 6 Volt - New wiring front to rear headlights generator replaced with an alternator system for reliability 6 Volt starter (could have gone 12 volt but they tend to tear up the flywheel) new battery ignition starter switch etc.Transmission: NEW - Not a rebuild of the original drums. Brand new drums were cut (these alone cost over $1400) new rabbit clutch clutch spring pedal springs kevlar bands U-joints Rear Main etc.Rear End: Differential has been completely rebuilt driveline bearings and shaft are new front and rear wheel bearings are new.Brakes: New rear brakes. The wheels are powder coated. The body and the interior speak for themselves. The paint is new as is the leather interior. I will paint the floor boards and trim them out this week. As soon as I do I will post new photos. The car has been lowered 5 inches in the rear and 3.5" in the front. It sits nice and low and looks awesome from every angle. It starts right up and drives like a champ. I hate to sell the car (I just finished it!) but need the cash for a medical emergency. It cost about $25K to complete. Good luck bidding! If you have any questions please feel free!On May-25-15 at 08:48:50 PDT seller added the following information:NOTE: The Engine And Frame Numbers Are Matching!
