If you want to create a head-turning muscle car, there are a few simple rules to follow. For starters, base your build around a popular model. Keep the paint scheme simple, the wheels tasteful and make sure to dial in the stance. And, for best results, throw in plenty of power, a capable chassis and a minimalist cockpit that keeps the focus on performance. It's much more difficult than it sounds, but this classy Camaro adheres to that formula for a result that's nothing short of spectacular. Blending 502 cubic inches of big block brutality with a tough Tremec 5-speed, a full Speedtech chassis and clean, factory-spec upholstery, every aspect of this stunning F-Body has been taken from "good" to "BEST". And if you're ready to wow the show field AND rule the strip, it's your chance to change the game!

BODYWORK/TRIM

The beneficiary of a fresh, $125K restoration, this sweet F1 is a solid, well-preserved bowtie that's both attractive and timeless. After the car was stripped to bare metal, its original doors, fenders and roof were supplemented with new quarters, new floors and a new trunk pan. Once that fuselage was meticulously worked into a laser-straight profile, stunning Torch Red 2-stage was accented with a white bumblebee stripe and buffed to a glare-inducing shine. And in late 2015, this Chevy rolled out of Lenoir, North Carolina's HotRod Dynamics as one red-hot muscle car that's primed to strain eyes and sprain necks!

When it comes to '60s metal and body modification, it's best to trust Detroit's keen eye for clean lines. Too many modern bits can make a build look disjointed, and too much customization just makes everything look tacky. Thankfully, the restorers did an excellent job of maintaining this Camaro's classy form. At the front of the car, a guarded bumper frames clean parking lamps, an attractive Rally Sport grille and a familiar D80 chin spoiler. Above that grille, a Camaro-branded header draws the eye to a familiar cowl induction hood, which founds fresh glass behind bright frames and polished wipers. At the sides of that hood, a sculpted profile hangs factory door handles and bowtie-branded mirrors above fresh wheel trim, dent-free rocker guards and lightly modified fender ornamentation. And at the back of the car, a second guarded bumper reflects a Rally Sport fuel filler, Rally Sport reverse lamps, '67-exclusive taillights and a familiar D80 deck spoiler.

ENGINE

An awesome classic is an awesome classic, no matter what engine rides between its fenders. That said, it's always nice to see a well-restored muscle car that sticks to the proven formula of jamming the biggest engine available in a relatively compact platform. Tilt this coupe's domed hood and you'll find 502 cubic inches of GM Performance Parts big block that's been built, polished and tweaked to 502 horsepower and 567 lb./ft. of earth-shaking torque! A rich mixture of oxygen and fuel comes courtesy of Holley Terminator electronic fuel injection, which floats a polished, 502-branded air cleaner above braided fluid lines and a requisite 4-barrel throttle body. That funnel rides on a lightweight aluminum intake, which is mated to a Chevy Orange block via GM Performance Parts heads. Those heads hang attractive valve covers between a polished cap, a polished breather and coated Hooker Competition headers. At the back of those tubes, a traditional points distributor bounces spark through quality Ultimate Heat Protection wires. In front of those wires, pliable V-belts spin an aluminum water pump between a fresh alternator and Sanden AC compressor. That pump feeds a beefy radiator, which fronts a traditional pulley fan. And all that first class hardware rides in a smooth, Satin Black engine bay that's detailed with a Wilwood master cylinder, chrome dipsticks and a reproduction Delco Energizer.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Park this Camaro on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that span a roster of modern componentry. Behind the 502, a proven Centerforce clutch kicks a Tremec TKO500 5-speed, which twists power to a Strange 12-bolt that's equipped with a posi-trac differential and moderate, 3.55 gears. Those gears ride a sturdy Speedtech torque arm suspension, which frames adjustable Viking coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, a Speedtech independent front-half utilizes beefy tubular control arms to frame two more Viking coil-overs. At the corners of that suspension, four Wilwood calipers, 6-piston up front and 4-piston out back, cinch drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers in to aluminized exhaust pipes, which employ welded, dual-chamber mufflers. And torque meets the pavement through stylish Budnik Flares, which spin 245/40ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force Rivals in front of 335/30ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force Rivals.

INTERIOR

Grab this Chevy's doors and you'll find a Deluxe Interior that wraps striped, 67-exclusive seats in a sea of vintage flash. In front of those seats, a straight dash hangs factory-spec telemetry around direct-fit audio and slick Vintage Air climate control. Below that dash, a factory console founds a familiar Hurst shifter. Opposite that console, Deluxe side panels trace factory door handles with factory trim. Those components are framed in tight carpet, tough floor mats and a fade-free headliner. In front of the driver, a polished and half-wrapped steering wheel laps a modern, tilting column. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk features a correct jack and full-size spare tire.
