If you want to create a head-turning muscle car, there are a few simple rules to follow. For starters, base your build around a popular model. Keep the paint scheme simple, the wheels tasteful and make sure to dial in the stance. And, for best results, throw in plenty of power, a capable chassis and a minimalist cockpit that keeps the focus on performance. It's much more difficult than it sounds, but this classy Camaro adheres to that formula for a result that's nothing short of spectacular. Blending 427 cubic inches of big block brutality with a tough Muncie 4-speed, an upgraded chassis and clean, factory-spec upholstery, every aspect of this stunning F-Body has been taken from "good" to "BEST". And if you're ready to wow the show field AND rule the strip, it's your chance to change the game!

BODYWORK/TRIM

The beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration, this sweet F1 is an excellent take on classic Yenko muscle. After the car was stripped to bare metal, its mostly-solid profile was supplemented with fresh quarters, new floors and a fresh trunk pan. Once that fuselage was meticulously worked in to a series of arrow-straight lines, vivid Bolero Red 2-stage was accented with a black bumblebee stripe and buffed to a glare-inducing shine. And today, this Chevy rolls as one red-hot muscle car that's primed to strain eyes and sprain necks!

When it comes to '60s metal and body modification, it's best to trust Detroit's keen eye for clean lines. Too many modern bits can make a build look disjointed, and too much customization just makes everything look tacky. Thankfully, the restorers did an excellent job of maintaining this Camaro's classy form. At the front of the car, an attractive Rally Sport grille hangs a bright "SS" emblem and hidden headlights above a guarded bumper, clean Rally Sport parking lamps and a familiar D80 chin spoiler. Above that grille, a pinned Stinger-style hood centers a functional scoop in front of fresh glass that's traced in bright stainless frames and cleared by polished stainless wipers. At the sides of that hood, polished wheel lips and deluxe rocker guards reflect traditional door handles, a requisite bowtie mirror and a full onslaught of fender emblems. And at the back of the car, a second guarded bumper reflects a Super Sport fuel filler, Rally Sport reverse lamps, '67-exclusive taillights and a familiar D80 deck spoiler.

ENGINE

While this panther is anything but a true sleeper, its trick hood and subtle ornamentation are still relatively conservative admonishments for the car's serious amount of firepower. Toss the lightweight bonnet and you'll find 427 cubic inches of Chevrolet big block that's primed, polished and ready to pounce! At the top of the engine, air flows from a polished and decaled cleaner to a big National carburetor, which is wired with fresh stainless fuel lines. Beneath that carb, a bright aluminum intake feeds cast iron heads, which are capped with finned Yenko valve covers. At the back of those heads, a traditional points distributor jolts Moroso Wire Technologies cables, which split coated Hooker Competition headers. And cooling comes courtesy of a heavy-duty radiator, reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. Aesthetically, the Satin Black engine compartment is exceptionally clean and, thus far, hasn't had the time to build anything more than a thin layer of dust on its Chevy Orange block. And details like a deep groove alternator pulley and Delco-topped battery add a level of finishing that'll make you want to pop the lid every time you park the car.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Park this Camaro on a lift and you'll find a fully restored undercarriage that features a number of thoughtful upgrades. Behind the 427, a tough Muncie 4-speed twists a 9-inch Ford axle. That drivetrain rides a fully sorted suspension that's been augmented with beefy traction bars and sturdy subframe connectors. At the corners of those bones, power front disc and rear drum brakes provide snappy stops. Speaking of power, turns come courtesy of a power-assisted Saginaw gearbox. The aforementioned headers feed true-dual pipes, which hang dual-chamber mufflers in front of polished stainless tips. Torque meets the pavement through stainless-trimmed Rally Wheels and 235/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And everything, from the car's stainless fuel tank to its color-keyed scattershield, is fresh, solid and ready to roll.

INTERIOR

Swing this Chevy's doors and you'll find a clean Standard Interior that's built for driving and performance. Seating is handled by a traditional combination of bench and buckets. In front of those thrones, a straight dash hangs factory-spec telemetry around direct-fit audio and factory climate control. Below that dash, a factory console founds a chrome Hurst shifter behind factory accessory gauges. Opposite that console, Standard side panels trace traditional door handles with factory trim. Those components are framed in tight carpet, tough floor mats and a fade-free headliner. In front of the driver, a stylish Super Sport steering wheel laps a tilting column. And behind the passengers, a dressed and decaled trunk hides a Custom Autosound CD changer next to a full-size spare tire.
