Chevrolet Chevelle 1972 Description
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute with a Fuel Injected SBC 350. Restored. excellent running and driving with 77. 00 actual miles on chassis and less than 3000 on the entire drivetrain. I've owned the car for 10+ years and put over $32. 00 into it's restoration. I realize I won't make money on it. reserve is set much lower. Body: The body was completely stripped down to bare metal. All of the rust spots were then cut out and replaced with new metal or the panel was replaced completely. Professionally painted using a base coat / clear coat paint system of its' original color paint code 22 - Mulsainne Blue Metallic. The white SS stripes and badging were added along with all new chrome bumpers and polished trim pieces. There is absolutely zero rust anywhere on this car. It does have a couple rock chips and minor blemishes from driving it and the windshield trim needs to be installed. Trim is included. Interior: The interior was in great original condition when I purchased the car with the exception of the carpet which was a little worn and the headliner. The carpet and sound deadener were replaced with reproduction parts matching the originals. It does need a new headliner. Engine: Chevrolet Gen I 350 bored . 030 over. Comp Cams XE268 camshaft. World Products S/R Torquer 67cc Heads. ARP head bolts. Edelbrock performer aluminum intake. Comp Cams FAST EZ EFI Fuel Injection system. MSD ignition module. Doug Thorley ceramic coated Tri-Y headers. dual Flowmaster 40 series exhaust system. The engine runs great and has lots of power. The fuel injection system makes it reliable enough for a daily driver without having to worry about cold starts and the other headaches of carbureted engines. It also has better fuel economy. Along with the engine. pretty much everything else under the hood including the radiator. the power steering pump and gear box. and the water pump were all replaced with new components. The factory A/C system is all there. but it needs a new compressor and a charge. The engine has 2477 miles on it. Transmission: The original numbers matching TH350 transmission was professionally rebuilt with beefed up internals and a slightly firmer shift to handle the increased power of the engine. The transmission has 1933 miles on it. Rearend: Professionally rebuilt 12 bolt GM Eaton posi-unit with 3:08 gears. I will include a set of 3:73 gears as well that have a few hundred miles on them. I found that the 3:08 gears are a good middle of the road gear that allow the car to cruise 70 mph on the highway without getting the rpm's too high. and at the same time. they are still low enough to be fun at stop lights. The rearend has 778 miles on it. Chassis / Brakes / Suspension: Never wrecked laser strait frame and original rust free floor boards coated with POR15 rust proof paint along with the rest of the undercarriage. New factory brakes. hoses and hardware. new performance urethane bushings. new KYB shocks. new rear springs. new heavy duty front and rear sway bars. new high performance tubular upper and lower rear control arms. Clear title on hand. I Reserve the right to end the auction early. car is for sale locally. Email me for more information.
