Studebaker M5 1947 Description
Here is a great Studebaker project truck. Very straight, and just about rust free other than the surface rust. It's a very desirable M5, 1/2 Ton truck with the shortbed that has lived it's life in the dry Utah desert. It sits on it's original frame, has the original motor (as far as I can tell) and has had some body work done prior to me purchasing it. The truck sat in a body shop and as far as I can tell, the owner and body shop must have been at odds and the truck was never finished. I have owned the truck for less than 1 year and decided it's more of a project than I want to take on at this time. It's mostly complete, however I cannot know for sure what's missing since I didn't take it apart and haven't entirely re-assembled it. What you see in the pictures is what you get (except the pictures shows an extra headlight housing and extra grille. Those are not included).
I have a clean Utah title in hand. The truck does roll and the emergency brake works. I have no idea if the engine runs or not as I have not tried to hook it up and start it. Assume that it doesn't. The hood is stuck so I wasn't able to get pictures with it open. The truck cab corners are very nice as the pictures show. The only spot I noticed that needs to be repaired is on the curved upright support on the rear of the bed (I think it was the passenger side). Not very big and not bad at all.

Please note that it comes with Two dashes. The are shown in a picture where parts are lying in the bed. One dash is pretty complete, the other is just a bare dash, but a nicer core than the one with the parts installed in it.
