We just purchased this vehicle from the previous older Arizona owner and as you can clearly tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! Careful to not let this '56 Studebaker President jewel get away. you will be hard-pressed to find another one like it !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This '56 Studebaker President still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correcty mounted driver's door pillar Studebaker serial number plate which is shown in a picture below. I drove this BEAUTY for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT !!. This is one nice driving Studebaker President that is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Arizona - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western vehicle and boy does it show !! THIS IS A QUALITY CAR !! At the heart of this BEAUTIFUL - 1956 Studebaker President is what appears to be the ORIGINAL - VERY STRONG !! - 289 CID - "Sweepstakes" V8 Motor that is running very well indeed. The motor also retains it's ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold. ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds. ORIGINAL "Sweepstakes 289" scripted valve covers. ORIGINAL "oil bath" air cleaner housing and it's ORIGINAL Carter 4 barrel carburetor !! Sounds GREAT too with the true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips that correctly exit out the two slots in the rear bumper !! The engine is backed by the SMOOTH - 3 speed column shift manual transmission with WORKING OVERDRIVE which also functions very well. The overdrive on this car works as good as any overdrive I have ever driven and makes driving this BEAUTY at modern highway speeds a breeze !! It also has the WORKING - "Hill Holder" - braking system !! The Midnight Black and Snowcap White Cloth Velour and Vinyl bench seat President interior is in VERY NICE condition with a VERY NICE Midnight Black Cloth Velour and Snowcap White Vinyl front bench seat.
