Studebaker 1960 Description
Rarely does a vehicle with this level of provenance come to market. I purchased this truck from the family of the original owner. This truck was ordered new by a 35 year Studebaker millwright, he first year the Champ was offered. Over the years, e collected replacement pieces for this truck and upon his death, ad accumulated a significant number of rare parts, ncluding NOS rear Styleside long bed panels. The truck remained in his family, assing first to his son and then to his daughter. It was the son-in-law who finally did a full, ody off frame restoration, ver the last few years, sing many of the parts stockpiled years ago by his father-law. Virtually every component of this truck has been restored or replaced, ncluding brakes, uspension and rebuilt engine, ith a 289 crankshaftupgrade. He also gave the truck a fresh, ight metallic paint job, shows a few touched-up chips and minor imperfections), complete new interior, ll new rubber, ll bright work restored or re-chromed.The truck is equipped with the original drivetrain, 259 V8 with a three-speed column shift transmission, verdrive and twin traction. The truck needs nothing and drives as new, ith significant power/torque, ight handling and smooth, ven braking.A show worthy solid number 2 vehicle with extraordinary history and documentation.I have many more photos available and can take specific shots as you requestThis truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
