Studebaker 1952 Description
Thanks for looking at my Auction! Please read thru the complete listing and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me BEFORE you bid. THANKS.
Selling my 1952 2R5 Studebaker Pickup.
Has a 350 Chevy V, Turbo 350 Auto trans, both rebuilt by previous owner they said. They now have 2,400 plus miles on the rebuild. Truck has Power Steering, Power Brakes, New tires on all four corners with less than 150 miles at this time. All sitting on an S 10 Frame. It is just a cool truck that gets thumbs up all the time. Make it what you want or drive it like it is to your local donut derelicts in your area.
Condition? I call it a 20 plus footer overall! This is not a show truck! It’s nice but has some paint chips on the bed rails and other flaws. This truck was built by previous owners Grandpa and he passed away, so it sat in the family shop for long time and as would happen, things got laid in the bed or against the truck here and there. To check the previous owner’s claims when I first purchased the truck the oil looked great and so did the trans fluid. Even so I dropped the oil and it was as good as it looked on the dip stick. I wanted to check the trans, so I pulled the pan and it was just as described when I bought it. Super clean, so I just changed the filter while I was there and all new fluids. Trans appears to have been as described by the previous owner along with an up-graded torque converter and shift kit. Over the last 6 months I have added a new Alternator, Batter, Water Pump and hoses, Belts, rebuilt Power steering pump and Hi and Lo pressure hoses, all new HEI Coil and cap along with rotor, module, Plugs and wires. Wasn’t planning on selling it anytime soon, Go figure! Truck runs good and shifts good. Truck has a cab heater but is disconnected and needs repair. Set up for air but has no Compressor (does have engine mount) or other parts. It’s a fun daily runner that needs some more as you go or leave it as it is and just have fun with it.
Having been stored in a crowded shop and used as a storage cabinet in the bed and things to lean against the truck for years, it has two noticeable paint chip areas. One on the driver door edge and left side bed above fender shown in pic’s. Due to this, my reserve I think is very fair. I added a buy it now if you just have to have it.
Truck is in my name and has current registration. Actual total mileage on this 65 year old vehicle is an unknown! Currently it shows close to 2,4XX per the odometer in the vehicle.
