Pontiac Other 1937 Description
37 Pontiac coupe I found in a barn! Has not been on the road in a half a century! California high desert / Arizona car its whole life! This car has NO ROT!! The motor / trans is long gone. It does have the 10,00 pound original copper brass radiator still! The styling features on this car are amazing. The little details and accents on this car are definitely a reminder of a time when auto manufacturers cared about quality and detail. Just the work that went into the tooling to stamp and cast all the parts blows my mind.....right down to the "P" shaped key hole in the door handle and the "PONTRAY" in the rear lights....let alone the awesome Indian heads on the bumpers!!The car was way ahead of it's time with independent front suspensio, hydraulic brakes and an open driveline!I saved this car from a "dynamic duo" of gentlemen that had, lets just say,not the best of intentions for the car. There is nothing worse than a car that has survived all this time to end up in the wrong hands and the car gets ruined. All of the hard parts are there if not shown installed. The missing parts besides the drivetrain include the front sea, the removable trans tunnel panel and the outer piece of the windshield splitter. I had intended to run a V-butt windshield in it...and they are available right here on eBay. The car shares the same roof as the same year Chev, so glass and weather stripping are available inexpensively.....otherwise its complete
I would really like to build this ca, but my life has taken a unexpected tur, and I'm too busy building other peoples cars to realistically think I'm going to have the time to dedicate to this car....and like other car guy, I have other projects that are ahead of it in line that I would rather do. I'm putting it up for sale to see if I cant find it a good home. If it doesn't sel, it will just continue to sit and wait! If you have questions about the ca, I would be happy to answer them. I can be reached anytime at 480-707-9099
The car is located in Queen Creek Arizona. I will assist with transportation arrangements to the best of my ability if it sells. There is no rush for it to leave. I can even deliver it to the L.A. California area for a fee if that's where it goes. I can get pretty good prices on shipping on an open carrier if it helps. It does have a clear Arizona Title that's notarized and ready to go. Car is for sale locall, soI reserve the right to end the auction if it sells. And as a longshot...I would also trade the car for a comparable valued 66 Nova 2 door hardtop. Thanks for looking
