Pontiac Firebird 1979 Description

up for auction is a 1979 firebird formula mostly original project car. it has a non turbo 4.9L 301 V8 with an turbo 350 automatic transmission and a 2:73 non posi rear. all the drive train is factory original parts none of it has been removed. it has had a new 4 core radiator put in, lternator,starter, ater pump, rakes, otors,drums,and a new true dual manifold exhaust. i'm the 3rd owner of the car which i purchased back in 1998 from mechanicsburg pa. i have all the owners manuals, aperwork, ulid sheet, nd even the spare tire inflaitor, hich i dought is any good but is still kind of cool to have. the car had been totally redone back in 2003 having frame rails replaced, nder rear seat floors replaced, runk floor extentions replaced and lower quarter work (which was done in bondo instead of replacement panels like i ordered).it was also fully repainted the original two tone bronze on brown color. the bad is that due to poor body work the lower quarters will need to be redone as can be seen in the pictures. the interior will also need some work. i replaced the headliner and the carpeting, nd refinshed all the interior trim pieces. the two front seats have cracking in the seams as well as the dash pad has a crack in it which has been there since i bought it. the tilt column is included in the sale but will need new tilt bearings put in it, urrently the car has a straight column it which works fine. the car has been off the road since 2007 due to fuel delivery issues (it runs for so long then it's like some one flips a switch and cuts off the fuel) thats why it's listed as non running. before that car ran fine and was an every day seasonal driver. the car is being sold with the original rally wheels painted to match the car and a set of roller tires.(CRAGAR SST'S IN PICTURES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE BUT HAVE NOT REMOVED UNTIL CAR IS SOLD) the car has a small crack in the windshield but i'm including another one that was bought to replace it. view all pictures to get an idea of the condition before you bid. selling the car because of neighbors complaining to the township i have too many cars around my yard.and my list of projects is about 8 cars long. shipping is the buyers responsibility. thanks for looking, ood luck and bid to win!!!
