Pontiac Trans Am 1971 Description

I am Selling one 1973 Trans Am clone. This car is a car that I can not find rust The car has been garaged for thepast25 years dating back from me the the past two owners .

To my knowledge all original floors and body panels .

This 1973 Trans Am started life as a regular 1971 Firebird Esprit and a past owner converted it into a Trans Am using fenders hood and shaker from a real 70’s Trans Am.

The owner I got the car from put a 1970 455 H/O Y.C. coded motor into the car after the motor was rebuilt. I have the receipts for the engine re-build.

The transmission was rebuilt at the same time and is a turbo 400. The transmission has a stage 2 shift kit and welded spline torque converter.

The rear end has a posi unit and is a 308.The 455 was rebuilt to stock specifications. Frame connectors to help with frame twist are installed .

The above information was provided by the person I got the car from. I can not guarantee the accuracy.I believe him though and have receipts.

The car runs and drives.

The interior had new carpet headliner seat covers and seat cushions installed. The door panels appear to be original and in great condition.

The factory radio is missing but the radio opening has not been cut.

Wheels and tires are near new.

The paint and body work are high quality.

From what I can tell the body work is super straight and the cars' paint was cut and buffed. The cars paint color is 2002 Corvette torch red.

The paint has a few flaws please see photos. It is hard to see in the photos but there is a small wrinkle in the paint where the paint was heated by a heat gun while removing decals.

The car has an electric fuel pump that's on a switch.

The suspension has stock coil springs with 2 inch drop spindles.

The only issue the car has to my knowledge is I have to keep the car on a battery tender or the battery will drain.

The suspension creeks and makes noises from the front some times I think the new bushings are making noise. The steering gear box is older and might need rebuilding.

The car drives fine on the back roads but on the freeway the front end drifts once in a while when driving over 70 and you hit a bump.

The emergency brake cable is not hooked up and needs replaced.

The prior owner replaced the ball joints and installed new KYB shocks.

Seller is recommending buyer to come inspect the car in person or hire an agent toinspectthe vehicle on their behalf.

Buyer acknowledges that if they buy this car without inspecting it first and find a flaw they feel they were not told about by the seller they the buyer cannot hold the seller responsible financially or in any other way.
