Pontiac Trans Am 1975 Description

Up for sale today is my 1975 trans am.This is a numbers matching mostly original 2 owner car.I have owned this car for 8 years now having purchased it from a good friend and original owner. This car is very correct and retains all its original sheetmetal.Never wrecked but did have a small dent on rear left qtr by taillight that was fixed years ago.The car sat in a barn for many years before I got it.The previous owner had the original engine freshened up and trans rebuilt 3 or 4 years I bought it.The original 400 was torn down. The block was cleaned up.New rings, bearings, frost plugs, cam, lifters, oil pump, main seals and gaskets were installed.Complete valve job was done as well as a carb rebuild. All was done at a local shop in Worthington. The original trans was also rebuilt around the same time. Also by a shop in Worthington Mn.The drivetrain has less than 2500 miles on it since. The car runs excellent.New exhaust and frontend work were done a back in 06 just before I bought it.I have all the original docs including window sticker, bill of sale, temp plate and title.Gauge cluster and dash pad are very nice.Even the clock works.Paint looks good from 20 ft but has imperfections.Seats are all original as well as the door panels. So now that I've told you the good stuff I will get to the not so good stuff. As I said it runs great. It goes down the road good too. There is however an issue with the brakes. They are soft at first. It takes a pump to get a firm pedal. The front spoiler is gone thanks to hitting something on the road. The headliner has been fixed but is not the right material.Steering wheel is torn around the edge. The radio works fine but is not original. It is missing the left fender brace.Water temp gauge does not work.Speakers cut in door panels.Being from up north the body has some rust as you can see in the pictures. The frame rails front and rear are very solid.Floor and truck pans are good. One spot will need repair behind drivers seat to be perfect.Cowl area is excellent.Tail panel and rockers are pretty solid too.Typical rust by rear flares and behind rear wheels.Fenders have rust on bottom and a little on top.Door corners have some rust as well.Still overall a nice running driving project car that you can enjoy as is.Mileage I believe is actual but not verified. As i said I have owned it for several years.I had hoped to have restored it but I just cant find the time to devote to it.Time to let someone else bring it back to its original glory.Car is at my house in Boerne Tx.I would encourage anybody interested to come have a look at it.I normally do only no reserve auctions but not this time.It really is a decent car and I would like to get a fair price. It is priced way under the market value I believe for what it is.
