Pontiac Grand Prix 1962 Description

1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. Rare first year model. Extremely solid, straight and rust free, body and underside. 389 4-barrel with factory dual exhaust. Buckets and console and factory tach. 72,000 miles. The car starts, runs and drives very well but there's a few things to touch on. Leaving no stones unturned about the car. The car is basically a survivor. Appears to be one repaint that is a color change. The original color was a Desert Tan color. The trim is all there, but inside and out some of it has pitting here and there. The bumpers look to be re chromed and look great. The grill looks nice but again, there's some pitting. Like I said, the car starts and runs very well but in my opinion the carb could use some fine tuning. It's the ORIGINAL carb from 1962 so it could possible need a rebuild kit. The car's engine sounds very good, no strange noises and the exhaust sounds great where any good Pontiac guy (or gal) will recognize. It's a no PCV era car so there is some blow by coming from the tube along side of the engine. The Roto Hydramatic transmission shifts as it should with no obvious issues..........
I WANT TO SAY CLEARLY, THAT THIS IS A DRIVER QUALITY CAR. Other tan a paint job it's about as original as it gets. Original with a GREAT body and chassis!! Look closely at the pics and judge for yourself. The car is for sale locally and is being sold in AS-IS condition. Cars like this don't come along very often. The reserve is VERY LOW and it should enable someone to get a great first year Grand Prix at a great price. Any questions I encourage you to call me before you bid. Low or zero feedback bidders please call me before you bid or your bid could be cancelled. Please bid to own, teeny tiny $25. incremental bids probably won't get the car bought.
