Pontiac Grand Prix 1986 Description
1986 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 2+2 AEROCOUPE
Low Miles. Original Drive Train
Interior: Is excellent. No tears, rips, or cracks in dash, seats or door panel. The dash clockdoes not work; however there is a clock in the GM cd/radio I swapped out. Still have the original cassette. Added 6 x 9's for better sound. I will include a spare set of gauges I bought years ago just in case.
Exterior: Paint and decals were redone about the time I bought it 6 years ago. I think the interior was gone over then too but not sure on that. The paint shines like freshly done. Stored inside and I put on only about 2,500 miles in that time. I took it on a 200 mile round trip in the fall just to get it on the interstate and open it up. I mainly just putted aroundtown with it. I did not want to pit the facia or dig bugs out of the grills.
Drive Train: Stock original 305 cu in. with the 200R4 automatic.Runs andshifts as it should. I had the AC switched over to the newer stuff. (My wife insisted on operational AC) I went thru the cooling system as a precaution. Rebuilt the radiator. Replacedwhat looked like original GM hoses and the water pump. The old pump will be included with the alternator that was replaced. Stock, quiet exhaust that I believe is original.
Tires/ Wheels: Special ordered the TA Radials and wheels. The fronts are 15-225's and the rears are 15-255's. I will include the original set of 15" Rally II's with good tires also.
If you've read this far I will do you the courtesy of not boring you with the same old history lesson on these rare head turner's. It's a really nice car. I don't think good enough for show. But one you can enjoy. These cars are not hot rods. They are mostly show, handling, and no go( 165 hp.).
I would say you could fly in and drive away. But I would not let anyone shove theoriginal set of wheels and tires in the back seat.
