Pontiac Grand Prix 1962 Description
62 Pontiac Grand Prix (original year of GP) inrust free, survivor condition. Has had a re-paint with new carpet and dash pad. Other than that very original. The Lucite clear steering wheel is showing its age with cracks. (Thus the wheel cover). And oh yes, the rear bumper is re-chromed ($1500). Front bumper still passes very well.Mechanically sound for 72k miles. Recent new dual exhaust and radiator installed. Engine compartmenttidiedup. The Roto-Hydramatic was just serviced. (no bang shifts). The original389 performs strong but is showing some blowby. (Not so bad when fully warmed up). As is typical of most engines around 70k back in the day. No lifter noise.Suspension snug and just greased. Steering tight. All gauges including tach, lights, signals and heater works.Power steering, power brakes. No AC from the factory.Comes with skirts if you so choose to install.Needless to say, this is Pontiac's luxury sport creation to compete with the Oldsmobile Starfire. The clean, chrome de-void look was a refreshing change, and as a result, sold well. Today very sought after.
Bidders please have funds on hand. Deposit of $250 PayPal required within 48 hours of auction close. Balance within 7 days. Any form of payment ok but Pontiac and title will not be released until funds are verified clear.
Obviously I can not offer any form of warranty. I have driven over a 100 miles to car shows with no problems, but anything can happen on these classics. The car is sold "as is". It does start, go and stop very well as I type.
Please eBay email me for more info or for my phone contact. The Pontiac and I are in Jacksonville. I will assist loading if you need shipped. Shipping is new owner's responsibility.
Any overseas fees and leg work are the buyer's responsibility.
I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the Pontiac is for sale locally.
Serious bids please. This is a contract.
Thanks and good luck.
