Pontiac Trans Am 1979 Description
Well, as my family grows it is time to sell my Trans Am. At this point, I just rarely drive it. I have had this for 4 years and the build has been a slow and thorough one. Using some of the best parts.
1979 Trans Am factory equipped with air conditioning, 4 wheel disc brakes, and power windows.
I will try to be as detailed a possible overall.
I purchased the vehicle with a Pontiac 400 that had spun a rod bearing. It had a 200R4 in it as well. We pulled both the motor and transmission and decided to go the LS swap route.
The build was completed by R&P Machine Shop.
ENGINE
I purchased a 6.0L engine. LY6 engine(came out of a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD) that had 65k miles on it from a local salvage yard. From that point I took the engine to XP Racing to have it gone through. Engine was gone through and looked great.
At that point, I decided to upgrade the cam. So more was upgraded. Here is what was added during the time at XP:
*LS3 Monster camshaft
LIFT- Intake .598, Exhaust .612
DURATION- Intake 235, Exhaust 244
*Texas Speed & Performance .650" Lift Valve Spring Kit

*Texas Speed & Performance VVT Delete kit
*GM Old Style Valve Guide Seal Kit

PERFORMANCE
This car was dyno tuned after the build and it made 407RWHP.
I also have a walk around video of the car if requested.
Air conditioning is not currently working. Factory air conditioning ducts are still in the car, but vehicle will come with a compressor, dryer, and condenser from a 2002 F Body as I was going to install that over the winter.
I took a lot of pride in getting this car where it is today. Very careful planning and choosing installers that had the best reputations.
Paint is nice. Not perfect, but really nice.
I have over over 33k total invested in this car. I have folders full of receipts that will come with the car.

On Oct-03-16 at 10:17:04 PDT, seller added the following information:I felt the need to clarify further, but the AC/heater/blower does not work.I haven't had the time to troubleshoot. This was also a winter project for me.
