Pontiac Firebird 1975 Description
For sale is a great survivor 1975 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. This is a well preserved and rarer model Firebird that is simply not commonly seen in this condition anymore. This bone stock Firebird sports a great running Pontiac 350 engine with an M38 Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission that shifts perfectly. No drips. The numbers matching Oxblood Red 1975 interior is all original and looks sharp: soft horse-collar style seats, tight headliner, perfect cracklessdashboard, nice carpeting and all gauges work. The gas tank is a little mis-calibrated but it works, radio is stock AM/FM but I need to check the fuse as it doesn't power up. Just installed brand new whitewall 205/75/15 tires with restored Rally II wheels and stainless steel stock trim-rings. Hasnewersystem exhaust with dual tail pipes and the car was originally undercoated or Ziebarted to protect it from water. The car has been in a climate-controlled garage and storage most of its life and the body is nice, at some point it has had restoration & repaint of the original Sterling Silver color. Front and rear original enduro rubberbumpers are great, and I replacedthefront bumper filler panel and had all new shock absorbersinstalled& suspension inspected. Goodhandling and the car drives like new & tight. Still as the original jack in the trunk and a few rust holes from splashing but allhave been patched with metal and re-sealed. Motor runs good and sounds nice and has a wickedlow rumble. Probably has had some quarter work when the repaint was done- most 70's cars have. I added abrand new rebuilt GM 2bbl carburetorand installednew hoses for the radiator and emissions connections. The car recently had a tune-up and I replaced many of the internal distributor parts for saferdriving (coil, wires, condenser, etc) and it has the stock HEI ignition from 1975. Has the original A/C still hooked up but blows warm air so may need work. All lights function and this car will take you anywhere.
Only has 87K original miles on the odometer, this is a great survivor that has been protected from abuse- a veritable time capsule from 1975. Winner to pay a 200 non refundable down payment at auction end and balance is due before pick-up; I take cash or bank-to-bank wire transfers. International customers need to cover conversion fees and contact me prior to bidding. Thanks for looking, text or call with any question to 630-935-8561. Thanks for looking!
