Pontiac Grand Prix 1964 Description
Up for sale is a 64 Gand Prix 389 4speed. I have not PHS'd it, but believe it to be an original 8 lug, power antenna, rear defogger, rear speaker, Accy dome light, door edge guard, power trunk, fender remote mirror, 4bbl 389 4 speed car. The tilt was added from the previous owner parting a white over black 64 G.P.. Some of the options may have been added, but I believe them to be original to the car. It comes with all the parts pictured as well as an extra trunk lid, hood and front bumper (all are very straight and dry), a pair of inner front wheel wells, another core support from an A/C car with condenser and drier, correct center caps, 1/4 extensions and back-up light housings, beautiful black door panels (front and rear) and rear seat.I have rounded up the correct reverse lock-out shifter, replacement "Frenched" headlight doors along with many hard to find parts.I'm sure more will turn up or I am forgetting. The trunk has some light rust issues as do the fender, but it is minimal for these cars. 1/4's are solid, but may have some lurking. The left 1/4 has some previous body work bleeding through the paint along with a decent scrape. Interior floors appear solid.
The car has sat with me for better than 10 years and in Amarillo, Tx since '84 or so. I have never spun the motor over, but wouldn't try to start it as it has had no air cleaner or valve covers bolted down since who knows when. The previous owner installed "716" heads and valve covers from a '64 GTO and was driving it until his nephew stole the transmission from the car. That and the tach are the only major pieces missing. All clutch linkage is intact and complete as is the bell housing, starter, etc.
I have an AM/FM and Rally gauges that will be available for purchase separately.
No, it is not a Super Duty, a GTO or a 421 Tri-power H.O.. What it is, is a very complete, solid 4 speed full-size Pontiac that deserves a full and thorough restoration. Not to be rude, but if this is not up your alley or you are just looking to talk, please be considerate and move on. But, if you love these cars and have a genuine interest in it, please give me a call.
PAYMENT; PLEASE READ. I will ask for a $500 deposit through Paypal with in 48 hours and the rest to be paid in cash upon pick up. Please call in the evenings (Mountain std time) and I will be happy to answer any questions. Than you, Jeff, 303-756-0362
