Pontiac Other 1955 Description
Yes, his is the car know as the road trip car on "I Love Lucy" with the lighted Indian head hood ornament.Frame off restored, he car is stunning. The photos speak for themselves and it just took 3rd in the convertible class at "Crème de la chrome" in Denver. Considering it was up against 250K to 1.4 Million builds it's extremely well done. The frame is powder coated and everything like new- rebuilt, epainted or re-chromed. Very close to stock but a few upgrades. The Pontiac engine is built to 1957 specs for nearly 300HP. The transmission is upgraded to a 200R4 with a performance build. The car is quite quick and the overdrive makes the New York to LA drive possible at 80 MPH plus. The handling is superb, his car may look like a trailer queen but its built to drive.
The seats utilize the original pattern but use a far more comfortable cloth-no burning butt on a sunny day! Itdoes have an alternator upgrade but otherwise the car retains the original look and feel witha little more pep and a lot better cruising. The Chromewill astonish and the Black pearl and Silver pearl paint adds a touch of class with a deep clear. This car is as straight as it is beautiful, he body is perfect. It was going to Scottsdale in January to Barrett Jackson but was not quite ready. Last year a similar 55 star chief hit 200K so here is an opportunity to buy a #1 for less than half price! My buy it now is well below book.

I am a 100% seller and specialize in Vintage convertibles. You could not build this car for the buy it now price. It is available in the Denver area to inspect and drive and it is ready for a road trip if you wanted to drive it home (Winter can be an issue) The title is clear and the car starts instantly and has had some preliminary break in. An tranny cooler was added for the 200R4 but the car is otherwise very original. Perfect for the GM fan that likes Tri-5 chevys but wants to be a bit more unique. I can consider partial trades but it would have to match up NADA values so make sure you have your numbers straight.. (I get some really absurd offers). I only work through ebay as it weeds out the scammers and any foreign interested party will have to pick the car up in the US, 'm not a shipping company. Any low rated bidders will be blocked unless you contact me through ebay.
A few notes: I can work with delivery in states that border Colorado. I also guarantee the vehicle is represented correctly. The car is essentially new and the build is very high quality. The car is "as is", ut I do stand behind any representations in the ad. This vehicle was not wrecked and absolutely no corrosion. The drive train is completely rebuilt, tarts instantly and is street legal.
Lucy, ou have some splainin' to do!
