Pontiac Bonneville 1963 Description

I BOUGHT THE CAR ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO IN RENO NEVADA AFTER GOING TO A LARGE AUTO AUCTION. WE SAW IT IN A LOCAL PARKING LOT AND BOUGHT IT. WE DROVE IT HOME AND USED IT FOR A WHILE BEFORE MY SON AND I HAD THE GREAT IDEA TO COMPLETELY RENOVATE THE CAR. WE WORKED ON IT ON AND OFF FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS UNTIL IT GOT TO WHERE IT IS NOW. WORK AND FAMILY TOOK BOTH OF US AWAY FROM THE BONNEVILLE PROJECT.
I CAN NO LONGER WORK ON THIS CAR ANY MORE (ARTHRITIS), O WE ARE OFFERING IT UP FOR SALE.
WE STARTED WITH A DRIVING CALIFORNIA REGISTERED TRI-POWER CAR. WE DECIDED THAT WE REALLY LIKED THE CAR SO WE AGREED WE WOULD RESTORE IT.
WE TOOK IT APART SO THAT WE COULD REPAIR AND REPAINT EVERYTHING. WE REMOVED THE HOOD, OORS, RUNK, EATS, ASH, UMPERS, HROME TRIM AND KEPT ALL OF THEM.
THE CAR HAS THE FOUR ORIGINAL 8 LUG WHEELS.
THE FRONT END HAS ALL NEW PARTS. IT WASSTRIPPEDDOWN TO THE FRAME FROM THE FIREWALL FORWARD. ALL THE WEARING SUSPENSION ITEMS WERE REPLACED. THEY INCLUDE BRAKES, OSES, EARINGS, IE ROD ENDS, WAY BAR BUSHINGS, ALL JOINTS, ONTROL ARM BUSHINGS AND A COMPLETE RE PAINT UP TO THE FIREWALL.
THE CAR IS A ROLLER WITH ALL FOUR TIRES AND WHEELS.
WE ARE HANGING ALL OF THE PARTS WE HAVE, S WE HAVE TIME. WE ARE DOING THIS SO THAT YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. WE ARE NOT PERMANENTLY INSTALLING ANY OF THEM.
THE CAR CAME WITH AIR CONDITIONING AND WE HAVE ALL THE PARTS. IT WILL NEED TO BE REASSEMBLED AND RECHARGED.
IN ADDITION TO THE PURCHASE PRICE, E HAVE PAID OVER $3000 IN PARTS AND THIRD PARTY LABOR ON THIS CAR. WE HAVE THE RECEIPTS.
THE ONLY THINGS THAT I KNOW ARE MISSING ARE: THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND REAR WINDOW (BROKEN WHEN REMOVED), HE INTERIOR CARPETS (NEEDED REPLACEMENT, HE WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER SWITCH, HE HEADLINER AND THE DOOR, RUNK AND WINDOW RUBBER TRIM.. I JUST FOUND THE INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR. IT HAS VERY SHINY CHROME WITH SOME PITS. IT NEEDS A NEW MIRROR GLASS.
I WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING MANUALS: 1963 PONTIAC CHASSIS SHOP MANUAL (2 IN. THICK), 1963 PONTIAC AND TEMPEST AIR CONDITIONING SHOP MANUAL AND A 1964 PONTIAC BODY SHOP MANUAL.
I JUST CHECKED THE ORIGINAL ENGINE CODE AND IT IS 48N. THE PONTIAC SHOP MANUAL SAYS THAT THIS IS A 389 CU IN. V8 WITH 10.25 TO 1 COMPRESSION AND IS A "SPECIAL ENGINE". I DO NOT KNOW ANY MORE THAN THAT. IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE.ACCORDING TO THE BODY CODE PLAQUE, HE CAR'S ORIGINAL COLOR WAS CAMEO IVORY.
IT WAS BUILT IN THE GM SOUTH GATE CALIFORNIA PLANT IN FEBRUARY 1963.
Note:I just had a question from an interested Ebayer. He wanted to know if it was a "numbers Matching" car.
My research gave him the following answer.
The car vin number is 863S30620.
The block is stamped 30620 (This is the last 5 digits of the VIN number)He got back to me and agreed that this means it is a "Numbers Matching" automobile.
THE ENGINE GOT SOME WATER DAMAGE WHILE SITTING ALL THIS TIME. WE PLAN TO HAVE SOMEONE FIX IT AND LIST IT LATER.
