This is a knockout Bonneville...BROUGHAM... which means.. fancy pants interior... A Cadillac Style and Quality Interior on a Pontiac Style and Performance Body... If you have ever been in a Bonneville You know the seats are far more comfy than the Catalina.. and the trim and overall appearance isLuxury...for a Pontiac... Add the Brougham Option and it gets better.. cloth seats with hoity toity designs are rests and vinyl top etc... THIS CAR IS.... Factory Loaded with options. Not a HO HUM old car... IT GETS A LOT OF ATTENTION.. ALWAYS. People are really taken by the front end and often cant figure out what kind of car it is..... Notice on Bonnevilles it does not say...Pontiac... just BONNEVILLE...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44ztgRzyas4&feature=youtu.be THIS IS THE NEWEST VIDEO.. uploaded Sunday at NOON

I will try and cover every aspect of the car... The excellent the good the fair and the bad... As you can see its mostly Excellent ...

I will have several videos uploaded on youtube within a day or so. If you need better video or pictures and have made a formal offer I will text or email those as quick as I can...

In this video I try to accelerate a couple times brake hard etc. The brakes stop the car perfectly straight and its hard to video and show the power of the car and how smooth it is just know its not disappointing.. its just right not lacking in any way.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SL5SwR1HF4&feature=youtu.be

If you look at my history or completed items you will see I sell things. I dont relist them I do what it takes to get them SOLD almost always the first time unless a scam bidder or parasite "wins".

I intend to list this car with a buy it now or best offer. Please if you make an offer be prepared to pay for the car and complete the deal. It takes a lot of time to list a car .....properly with pictures videos and details.. so I am asking for potential buyers to be prepared for me to accept an offer and sell you this car.

So many listings I see take glamour shots and skip over all the fine details every car presents... I try to cover the details so when the car arrives there are "no surprises" and you are every bit as happy that day as youwere the day you sent the money to buy it.... As a rule on ebay or site unseen buyingthe two emotions dont match and although the car may look just as good on "our screen" if we take a picture in person its just not as good... so videos not just a edited enhanced video in slow motion with birds chirping pot of gold rainbowsand fisherman catching record catch fish in the background with smiling seniors riding bicycles with their grandkids in78 degree weather with hair that looks like it was just out of a salon........kind of videos......just real simple detailed videos....

Do not expect the car to be relisted over and over hoping to get the absolute top dollar.. I like to get a good buy and as you can see in my history people get bargains from me as well.. If you need an example.. See the 65 Bonneville I sold about a month ago for 17222. It is now for sale for 28000 in South Dakota at Gesswein Motors. .... dot net Pretty good profit for a person that left me feedback that says: "good communication"... he may not get 28 butmoney will be made.

Now would be a good time to get a cup of coffee or abeer.. I m just getting started. I drink milk... there is another video coming up...

Its sounds loud in these videos but the car is quite inside at freeway speeds. No window whistling from old dry rubber etc... the car cruises really nice at 80... it likes that speed....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcYJxGWE1QI&feature=youtu.be

I have taken about 50 pictures and a few videos. I am now typing this up and hear the thunder storm and rain has arrived so in some of the picturesdont besurprised if the car has that lived in look... or rain drops reflectingon the paint... this is not acar thatgets driven into or onto a trailer and taken to its next showing.. it is a driver. Some driver cars arecovered up wrecks or junk... this is not a covered up slicked up junker. Its in super conditionand is very usable and enjoyable. We took it to Portland for Thanksgiving (we as in the family of 4) We had ZERO issuesand would have no trouble driving this car accross the county orfurther.

What works:

The wipers..they are very quite and not loud when its raining.. ina video they area bid noisy butthe windshield is dry.

The power trunk. Open the glovebox and touch the switch.. click it opens.

The glovebox light: Open and poof.. its on...

The clock it works fine but if you want to shut it off so the battery is not drained while the car sits for long periods of time there is a green switch in the glovebox.

The Radio. Am and Fm work very nice. There is an amp by the spare tire and if you want more base the switch for the rear defog operates this... nice sound.

The Antenna: up and down no issues the radio has static if its down but when its up... the sound quality is very nice.

The heater ...works on high and low no problem.

The Air Condtioning: Works on high and low doestn seem real cold so I will have it charged prior to the car leaving my hands as seen in one video the compressor works as it should with no noises etc.

The turn signals inside lights and out AND the cornering lights. They all work perfectly. At night the cornering lights are so bright drivers along side you rear back there heads like they are being spotted by an aircraft runway light.. THEY ARE BRIGHT and "light up" the the area that you are turning toward.. funny.

The headlights high beam low beam and RED CHIEF in the DASH all work as they should AND>>>>> the doors that "hide" the headlights what a concept... work perfectly as they should as seen in one of the videos.. THIS IS SO COOL.. and YES.. THE CAR WAS BUILT WITH THESE AS SHOWN ON THE BUILDSHEET!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wJzeahdQ18 Here is a video of the headlights and another walk around the car....

Tilt Column. Works fine no issues no funny bearing noises in steering column etc.

Horn.. yep.. its loud...

Wing/VENT WINDOWS.. yep they open and close.. ALL THE WAY

Windows Up and down fast even with the car not running..

Door locks YES all work nice.

Power Seat YES back and forth and tilt work as it should.. this is so much nicer than a non power seat.. you dont get the tilt and are restricted in a non power seat..they dont go back as far... so if you are tall this matters.

Cigarette lighter.. yes it works see video of charger light on and off...

Dome light yes it works

Dash lights brake light oil light etc.. THEY ALL WORK AND ARE BRIGHT AND CLEAR.. VERY NICE

Doors shut solid and easy and line up perfectly not sagging or misaligned.... very nice

Weather stripping and rubber.. VERY NICE I think its all org. so its not PERFECT.. but very nice. Not a car that was out in the field and saved by armorall..rubber dressing etc.

Headliner.. I think its perfect.

Visors perfect mirror or mirrors on both...

Glass its tinted and in perfect condition. No cracks hazing seperating etc.

Seats... No rips tears etc. Just as nice as the rest of the car. Brougham pattern

Door panels No cracking or any other issues.. really nice .. Brougham pattern

Door jams: not as shiny and showy as the panels of the car but not rusty or greasy or gross... a good detail would be in order but again.. pretty nice.

Rear package tray... If the buy it now is used this is one of the things I WILL PAY FOR.. a new package tray from Ames or ? that is factory correct... I think they are about $100.00.. SO.. if the buy it now is used take off $100.00 for a new package tray... behind back seat.

Carpet.. looks really nice but again has a couple cuts.. not sure why... and I like the org pattern (loop pile) so again.. if the buy it now is used... I WILL TAKE OFF $300.00 for a carpet kit. I dont mind it as it is and you will likely not care.. but if you want it perfect.. get a new "correct style" carpet kit.

Gas Gauge: It seems like it moves a bit but its comfort zone is right about where it is.. so there is a company that rebuilds these specific sending units assuming that's what it is which is the most expensive part... so again if the buy it now is used I will pay for the fix.. $219.68

SO TO BE CLEAR I WILL TAKE OFF 619.68 off the BUY IT NOW PRICE.. so its not really what it says.... its a bit less which should make you feel a bit better and I will feel better knowing I paid for these 3 items...and inmy opinion THE ONLY THINGS WRONG WITH THE CAR.. and I have not been bothered by any of them...

Interior chrome..knobs seat belts trim etc. Super condition.. no pitting no issues.

Dash... no cracks no issues very nice. Not sure what the two very small holes are in the metal by radio but I could fix this in an hour total... and it would not be noticed or seen... hasnt bothered me....I have better things to worry about..

While we are picking the car apart I will tell you the two other things that are not excellent. 1.. which will be fixed on Tuesday.. there is a slight exhaust leak ... the mufflers and exhaust are newer but where the exhuast meets the manifolds there is an ever so slight leak... I will have this fixed and the car will have newer quite and correct sounding exhaust.. I should have had this fixed before now but.. again.. hasnt really been a bother..its very slight...

2. Behind the drivers tire on the bottom.. this is the car biggest paint flaw.. a chip... I have not touched it up but a person could and should... This car has very very few paint flaws... i mean very few. No major scratches no dents and as you can see its not a rust bucket either. I think i could find a paint flaw or chip or scratch on any car at any show on cars that are driven so this is what I am referring to... The paint on this car is a knockout color quality job not a cover up 1000 job. The vinyl top was done when the car was painted. It does not leak... as you can see in the trunk .. its super super solid and dry never has been a rusty car... You will see surface rust on the frame rails but again this is not a slicked up covered up junker...

The transmission shifts strong and solid.. no noises no leaks no issues

The motor runs stong no leaks.. no noises no ticks no knocks.. justthe slight exhaust leek that will be properly fixed .. The motor is a 400 and has plenty of power. I have had several Pontiacs389 400 421 428 and 455's.. this 400 has really good strong pull and power.. its not a slug.. it moves thecar andcan move the tires faster than the car with no problem.

Thetrim and chrome on the outside is super.

The license plates dont go with the car... just remembered that..

You can fly in and drive this home.. go through yellowstone on theway... or have it shipped. I am easy to get to 7 minutes from the airport 4 minutes off hwy 84 IN BOISE.. not some podunk town 40 miles out of town...

This is super short and sweet video .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiCM2lZ3HAw&feature=youtu.be Not much to see but it was easy to Upload..

You cant pay for it when you come go for a test drive and checker out... that gets weird.

I am upfront about what I am selling and like to be paid with no funny business... I m not able totrade at the moment... I need cash..otherwise thiscar and a few others would never be sold..

You cant replace this car for what you will pay for it.. NOT EVEN CLOSE.. You cant findone with hidden headlights next week or likely in the next ten years if you look really hard.. theyonly made a few with this option... thiswas not a typical lot car... its as loaded as you will ever find.. Iknow I ve been looking and buying Pontiacs for the last25+ years and have never seen another one like this... NO OTHER YEAR OFFERED HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS ON A BONNEVILLE...

Iintend to ask $15819.68 for the car and look at offers. I have ahabbit of lowering the reserve and buy it now on regular auction style listings.. so Im trying this way on this car.. which I have done before.. I just decided on theasking price.. I know how far 15 grandgoes on an old car.. not very far... and finding one like this is the kicker...

I have A LOT ofpictures and will upload them to photobucket as i get time... unless it sells quickly then .. I wont.

Pictures.. I have not photo enhanced a single one of them.. they are as they were taken.. on my droid phone.. not a fancy camera with enhancement settings..

My wife enjoys this car. Its easy for her to drive and as she was driving without overstating it I watched 4 people stop and point etc while we drove it this eve for some cool background (glamour shots) with the Boise Foothills in the background... The car has a unique color that is hard to describe but its drawing in every lighting situation.. shade sun or mix.. it really is a knockout color.. and maroon is not my top pick.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM22LQrmsbU&feature=youtu.be This could be... a ladies car.. If you need a car for the lady in your life this is one to take a close look at.. It has all the power options comfort class and style she is likely used to... OR PERHAPS this would be a step up from that run of the mill Ford Taurus or Plastic same as every other car in the neighborhood 4 door she's driving.. ON THAT NOTE.. Don't be influenced by the common perception that a 4 door is "not as cool" or a grandma car etc. Sure its not as expensive as the two door model and the doors are not as long and saggy but a 4 door HARD TOP has a certain look and ease of use is quite nice.. I don't enjoy a 2 door any more thana 4 door HARD TOP.. I really don't so keep that in mind in your search.. a 4 door hard top is not as lame as some gear head might have you believe....

Its possible you are needing a break right now ( I just had a chocolate cupcake that a friend of my wifes made.. with MILK... I needed a break as well).....so .. take that break and when you come back The "rest of the story" willbehere waiting for your eyes....

I do have a set of 8 lug wheels ...correct 1968... with old bias ply tires on a white 68 Bonneville.... as seen in night time video. I am a fan of 15 inch tires which this car has.. but..... there s that word.. some motivational speakers say to erase that from your vocabulary.. but.. there it is again.. there is something about 8 lug wheels that make a car.. and this car certainly would be deserving of a set of 8 lugs.. normally I would say something like.. to make it over the top.... or put a cherry on the whip cream.. but this car is so ridiculously LOADED WITH OPTIONS that one more wont "make or break" it... Most people don't know what Pontiac.. or Kelsey Hayes 8 lugs wheels were or are anyway.. but if you do and you can imagine what the car would look like with them and .. you want them.. assuming you get the car bought.. I have a set that is available.. but ..there it is again.. they wont be junk yard prices.. they are low miles and are not separating break smooth and quiet.. no shuttering or out of round etc.. I think a fair price would be 1000.00 but.. that s only because they are the correct year correct center caps and rings and lug nuts.. Not mismatched not junk.. so.. if that's to high please let me know where a nice correct complete set is for less.. I also have a parts car.. 68 Bonneville that has power windows locks and air.. and DISC BRAKES FROM THE FACTORY... I would consider selling the whole car if someone wanted it. A parts car is not needed for this car its just available and some folks may want the disc brake set up.. with correct 1968 DISC BRAKE ONLY HUBCAPS.. which are a bit hard to come by... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvWBW9HB6cA&feature=youtu.be Night time video... (see below if not working.. I reloaded it so its public) showing lights and 8 lugs "written about" above...

I am pretty sure I have not covered ... WHY... WHY IS THIS CAR FOR SALE??? I bought a home on 8 acres within view of my home .. 2 years and 9 months ago.. and ..I have a balloon payment to pay it off due in 3 months.. I don't have the liquid cash in my closet to pay it off so this car a few before it and a couple more were and will be sold to achieve the task.. THIS IS THE NICEST ONE LEFT.. The others are projects or not of this caliber .. so don't .. not buy this one thinking I will list something better.. this is it....

If you know of a hidden headlight 68 BONNEVILLE.. not a GP that was made and sold in the US and its for sale I would be interested in buying it ( or being told about it)... not right now (to purchase) because as I explained above I need money more than cars.............. BUT.. there it is again.. I would be interested in owning another one someday.. in the future.. Its a unique knockout looking car.. comfortable easy and good looking on and on....

Money: If you buy this go to paypal and send me $500.00 so I don't have to wonder and wait if you are a real buyer or daydreamer.... I am under the impression the car is a bargain at the buy it now price I have started with.. and I watch these cars when they come up... On that note I have a history of lowering the price at odd times when I get the idea in my head that I want to sell it at that moment.... so please know that I intend to sell this car its not here to show and relist .. its here to BE SOLD.. and I do what it takes to make that happen. I have no problem talking to BIDDERS or in this case someone that has made an offer.. There is no reserve just a buy it now or best offer option...

My number is 208- 92 One - 556 One

My Latest sales of Pontiacs.. (just interesting information)...

The blue 67 went to Australialast fall. The Yellow 68 Went to the UK..The Blue 66 Bonneville Wagon went to Japan... The 65Tripower wenttoSouth Dakota.. but was bound for Australia... the serious prospect sent me a question asking if it could stay here for 6months until heandtwo friends could come and take it on a road trip then drop it off in California to be shipped home... well it was around 1 a.m. when he sent the question (OUR TIME) and I answered it.. NO PROBLEM IT CAN STAY HERE FOR 6 MONTHS.. but.. he was beat out by theSouth Dakota Dealer the next morning ashe was sleeping ( HIS TIME)..so this doesn't happen again.. YEP it can stay here for a few months... in my shopcovered up in a corner.. I find it interesting that people in far away places value these old Bonnevilles more than folks in the U.S....

Its time for me to stop typing and start uploading photos.. I have A LOT of pictures.. I will upload all of them to PHOTOBUCKET in the coming days.. hopefully most of them by tomorrow afternoon..

Thanks for reading.. I think I have at least one more video to load but its late and I will get to that tomorrow... Not one of the photos or videos are enhanced cropped etc. Youtube may have made one less rocky.. that's it...

While trying to upload the picture of the build sheet found under the rear seat... I erased all the photos I previously uploaded last night.. and had to start over... a bit consuming.. so with the videos I have a couple more to add.. and these photos I am not in a hurry to do more uploading...

https://youtu.be/k1vdY53GZO8 Night time video... I may not have hit the public button on the one above....

https://youtu.be/tAbyswx-EPU Added this video on Sunday at 2:55 p.m. I think I have one more video....

https://youtu.be/uRDhVjHkhkU I have one more video.. not sure when I will get it uploaded.. but this is a good showing of the car.. all together...
