Pontiac Trans Am 1980 Description
1980 Pontiac Trans Am projectFirst and far most. the body is nearly perfect. There are a couple scuffs that has happened while the car was in storage. See pics. The paintwork and decals are pristine. Door and window weatherstripping is new. The shaker will need painted. A 400 c. i. engine upgrades the original 301. W/ turbo 400. The car needs interior finished. Seats are done. The plan was to change the interior to from camel to deluxe white. Engine runs great like it should. Transmission is also rebuilt. Exhaust is new. The good : Arrow straight body. Impeccable paint work and decals. Door jambs. trunk and engine compartment have also been painted top quality. All new door hinges and latches. Both door glasses and window motors are new are new. No scratches in these. New door and trunk weatherstripping. Also new door window weatherstripping not installed. The undercarriage has also been detailed and is very clean. The new duals look and sound great. There is absolutely NO rust on this car . The 77 Pontiac T/A 400 engine has been newly rebuilt and runs great. Engine is fitted with an Edelbrock performance manifold and carburetor. New engine harness. New A/C evaporator and condenser are installed. The not so good : The 6. 6 shaker is on the car but will require more tweaking before it fits right. Contrary to our parts vendor. it is not a direct fit. A manual choke was installed in attempt to fit the shaker. Accessories such as cruise control needs hooked up . Spark plug wires and other wiring needs to be neatened up. A/C is apart. Dash will need to be pulled and gone through. The only working gauge is the speedo. The interior will need to be completed. Look at the pics. What you see. is what you get. Switches and wiring will need to be lined out. Passenger window is not installed. There is slight damage to the LF bumper and the lower spoiler. See pictures. Also pinholes in the fender are there to index the position of the color keyed side moldings. To Summarize: This is a project car. Lots of $$$ have already been invested in this restoration. All work performed on this car was done to a very high standard. There's still work to do. Please look at the pictures closely as they tell the story on the car. Personal inspections are welcomed. Major work and expense (e. g. paint. body and drive train) has already been done. Here's a chance to buy this car for a fraction of what's invested. Please email with any questions. More pics are available.
