Pontiac Trans Am 1987 Description
I Will Be As Honest And Open As I Can About This Car,As I Don't Want Any Bad Feelings Over This Transaction.....Vehicle I Believe Was Bought Brand New By A Employee @ Ed Martin's In Anderson In.,Then Sold To Another Employee That Also Worked There,As I Stated The Vehicle Has Sat Under A Tree For A Few Years,I Know Because I Tried Buying It For Some Time,Immediately After I Purchased It I Had A New Walbro High Pressure Fuel Pump Put In It,Tank Was Fairly Clean And Didn't Really Require Much Cleaning,Also The In line Filter Was Replaced,Several Of The Vacuum Lines Were Rotted And Replaced,Also The Spark Plugs And A Fresh Oil Change,The Car Started Up And Ran Pretty Good,No Knock/Smoke/Didn't Get Hot Etc....So My Buddy Who Has Worked On 60's-70's Hot Rods Says,Let Me Set The Timing...So I Left For About An Hour And By The Time I Had Gotten Back He Had Busted The Plate On The Distributor,So I Said No Big Deal,I've Got Another One Out Of A Donor Car,Well It's Turned Into A Nightmare,Old Distributor Is Stuck,Will Not Move Side To Side Or Up And Down,These Distributors Have Two Machined Peices Towards The Bottom,I've Sprayed P.B. Blaster And Deep Creep To No Avail,May Be Able To Put Some Pressure On The Topside With Some Vibration And Maybe Get It Loose,I'm Not Messing With It Anymore...It'll Probably Pop Right Out After I Sell It.....Brakes Are Not Locked Up From Setting,Has Factory Rims,Which Two Are About A Inch Deeper...Doors Shut And Open Good...Dash Is Shot,But The Rest Of The Instrument Panel/Glovebox Area Etc. Looks Good...Roof Area By T-Tops Has Seperated,Which You Can See In Pictures,Also Stains On Seat Areas...Glass Is All Good....Has WS6 Suspension....Underneath Is Really Nice,This Cars Not Been Grounded Out Or Ran Over Anything Like Alot Of Them Have...Fairings Are All In Very Good Shape,Not Busted Or Loose...As I Stated Before It Will Need Some Floor Pan Repair Behind Drivers Seat From Water Leaking From T-Top Over The Years...Exterior Of Car Is Really Nice,Except For The Clear Coat Issue,There Is A Little Mud On Drivers Door/Middle/In Front Where Door Opens Into Fender...I'm Not Gonna Nit-Pick The Car To Death,It Does Have Issues,But Is Still A Very Nice Car....CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS...(765)313-2788....I PREFER TEXT,JUST LET ME KNOW ITS ABOUT THE TRANS/AM...VEHICLE IS LOCATED ON U.S.36 & STATE ROAD 109 IN MADISON COUNTY INDIANA
