Pontiac GTO 1964 Description
Being offered today is a one owner, ALL original, and I mean ALL ORIGINAL, complete 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible 4-speed. Black top, black interior and marina red exterior. This offer is a bit different than normal. This car is not being offered in its current condition. This rare, extremely well documented, GTO is being offered completely restored to a #1 or concourse car with the work being done by my restoration company. So when you make your offer, please take that into consideration. You will be getting a completely restored, concourse car, or a number 1 car if you wish, watching it being restored at every stage. You will receive all receipts. First my company: I have been in business for 15 years. I started the company because of my love for classic cars. I was an airline pilot at the time. I have since retired. I have done cars for people from around the world. All my cars are show car winners. I mainly do GM, including two GTOs but have done a Ford or two. Now for the car. Normally, people bring their cars to me. In this case, it belonged to my uncle who finally decided to let it go with the promise that it gets restored to factory new condition. My uncle ordered the car from the factory in 1964. It is a well optioned car. I have the PHS documentation, but that's a side note because I have the ORIGINAL window sticker! Along with the ORIGINAL sales receipt! Also, a letter from the dealership, to my uncle, thanking him for buying the car from his dealership. I also so have the ORIGINAL owners manual with the ident-o-plate (protect-o-plate)!!! This shows that the entire drive train is ORIGINAL! Even the shifter ball is the original one. I even have the first insurance receipt for the car. This car is so original, it even has the leather strap attached to the rear window zipper. The rims have the original part numbers.OPTIONS: back-up lights, transistor ignition, tach, under hood lights, under trunk lights, wooden steering wheel, tilt steering wheel, duel-speed wipers, power steering, seatbelt, safe-t-track rear axle, and more. This car even has the snaps along the dash and doors for the cover to protect the passenger compartment when it rains and the top will not go up. And, yes, I even have the original passenger compartment cover! Please try to understand that this is a Jay Leno quality car. You need to be a serious classic car collector. If I restore it myself, it will be auctioned at Mecum and Barrett-Jackson auctions. This is a high dollar serious car. This car is being offered in other venues, so I reserve the right to remove this car from consideration up to the point where the reserve or offer is met or accepted.I'm sure you have questions, so please feel free to ask. 16313272303.Payment can be done in stages as the car progresses. A non-refundable down payment of $1,000.00 must be received with 2 weeks, with, at least, the first of 3 installment payments received within a month of the end of the auction. Cash, certified checks or money orders ONLY!I also have a 1966 NOS Hurst 4-spped shifter for $600.00.
