Pontiac Trans Am 1987 Description

Thanks for Reading.
For Sale is a 1987 Trans Am GTA. The GTA, as taken from online, is "The Trans Am GTA was Pontiac's pride and joy with a standard 5.7L 350 Tuned Port Injection (TPI). The GTA performance numbers were comparable to GM's flagship performance platform, the Corvette, from whence it came. The GTA came with a standard TH-700R4 (4L60) automatic transmission, A/C, new seats with inflatable lumbar and side bolsters, special door panels, epoxy-filled emblems, body-colored ground effects, a special GTA horn button, and the legendary WS6 performance handling package."
This car is in very good condition for it's age and history.
Some of the upgrades and work done to the car as follows:
Stainless Steel Exhaust System, with Headers
Car was sanded down and body worked and repainted 15 years ago, painted with original hood on the car, and the Ram Air hood pictured, and has not seen rain or snow since, has been driven less than 30 days out of the year, stored in the garage otherwise, so the paint is in amazing condition for the age it is.
Replaced ECM
Newer Tires
Rust Free
Rear window Roof Vane, haven't seen on any other cars in person, gives it a nice sense of style.
Interior was redone 12 years ago, and so the seats and carpet are in near perfect condition, the headliner has minor sag and should be reglued.
new MAF recently
Transmission Fluid Pump was recently rebuilt
T-Tops with T-Top bags
Power windows
Automatic
Some of the issues that it needs fixed to be perfect:
The rear hatch is electrically sealed, the motor has broke, needs to be replaced, still shuts but doesn't crank down tight
Hood shocks are worn and need to be replaced, easy fix
Digital Dash, the board on the back was replaced, however was not seated properly as it's difficult to do alone, needs to be removed, reseated, and reinstalled for full operation.
The car was titled at 178k miles, the dash was replaced at 180k miles, but as I said rarely driven the car has probably had 3000 miles added to it since I've owned it 15 years ago.
The car was a salvage car from MASS, was brought to CT, fixed, inspected thoroughly by the CT DMV until it passed inspection, as such you can't tell there's nothing wrong with it, but the title is a rebuilt title.
Buy with confidence this car is much nicer in person, and with a few minor parts this could be a beautiful classic late 80's rare GTA, or with a larger sum of money this could be a nasty crate motor car, the choice is yours.
