Plymouth Fury 1964 Description
Go to MoParDealer website for restoration photos 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury 426 max wedge 4 speed New Moser dana 60 with 4.56 gears and Detroit locker, Set up to drag race or drive on the street. Stock 13.5 to 1 factory pistons and rods stock bore 426 block. New mopar performance max wedge heads factory intake and air cleaners. Edelbrock carbs. This car was built for my dad to go drag racing. It has only been to the track once but the tires on the car are too hard never hooked up. Car is very nice, very low mileage because it was drag raced back when it was fairly new. Front inner fender wells removed for fenderwell headers and rear quarters radiused and and beveled for larger tires. The car had a straight front axle at one time when it was raced in the 60's and 70's but has been converted back to stock front suspension before we bought it. It still has the leaf spring mounts up front. There is no fender tag it was removed with the inner fennder back in the 60s. No way of telling what original engine was but the car has the factory dual exhaust hanger so it was a big block 4 barrel 4 speed car originally. Just needs mufflers and rear street tires to go back on the street. I have factory used replacement inner fenders and patches for the rear quarters if someone wants to convert to all original. Car can be picked up after check clears, can deliver to overseas shipper in Los Angeles area for a small fee. Can store the car up to 30 days but full payment still required in 7. here are a couple videos of the car.. I can email more pictures of the car and links to youtube videos of the car. On Jul-06-17 at 15:29:03 PDT, seller added the following information:The VIN Given is not the VIN number to this car I can send you a picture of the VIN tag if needed. the car has a clear title in my name. No fender tag it was removed when the car had fenderwell headers installed in the 60's. We have owned this car since approx 1997. My father passed away and this was his personal drag/street show car that he built for himself and never got a chance to run. I ran it for him a couple times but the tires never hooked up the are old nascar tires, very hard rubber. Not sure what engine came in it when new but it was a big block 4 bbl 4 speed car from the factory. The factory dual exhaust hanger is still on it where it mounts behind the rear seat. Thanks for looking. This is a beautiful car that sounds as good as it looks, turns heads at the open header street cruises we have taken it to.
