Plymouth Road Runner 1970 Description
This is a nice 1970 Superbird Tribute with a 1970 440 with a mild cam. The color is Sublime green. New interior (bucket seats, rear seats, door panels, carpet and headline). Newer Dunlap GT with raised white lettering tires (245/60/15 front, 275/60/15 rear), new center caps. Engine has new Holley 600 CFM carb, 10mm spark plug wires, new plugs, new dual snorkel air cleaner and Roadrunner horn. Transmission is a 727 TF on the column. Rear end is an 8 3/4 posi with a 3.55 gear. Glass is in like new contition with new side rubber and whiskers. Drum brakes all the way around with new hoses and reservoir. New rear glass molding, proper custom Superbird rear window. Correct wing supports in trunk, fiberglass nose with working electric hideaways, new side glass and rubber/whiskers. New armrest and base. Car has new half floor pan (firewall to rear seat), new door skins, new quarters and trunk floor. Newer fuel tank and sending unit. Car is not perfect but is a very nice driver, Nose needs to be repainted (was covered in plastic in heat and wrinkled), rest of paint on car a solid 9. Front spoiler has a crack in it, comes with brand new front spoiler. This was originally a Satellite when it came from the factory. It was done correctly when it was transformed (fenders, hood, spoiler, scoops, pillar moldings, wing (and supports) entire rear window. Hideaway headlights are electric. Car looks very nice but like all cars 47+ years old it is not perfect. But then it doesn't cost 100K$ plus either. In fact this car can be had for less than half of that. This car is for sale locally. This is what it is, a very nice driver that shows well. Of course a Hemi and a 4 speed would make it a MUCH nicer driver.........but would conservatively add 25K to the price. This is a driving car show no matter when or where you drive it.....and to me, that's a good thing.
