Plymouth GTX 1969 Description
Please call me at 316-250-8498 if you want to look at the car or if you have questions.I'm trying to land a 68 charger I've been chasing for awhile so I am selling this GTX to make room. This is a very rare car with a striking color combo and some phenomenal options. Short of a 426 hemi or 6 pack 440, his option list is just about as good as it gets for a 1969 B body
It's a SUPER SOLID 1969 Plymouth GTX built at the Lynch Road plant; it was optioned with red (R6) paint, lack bucket seats/interior, 40/4bbl engine, 8 spline "Hemi" 4 speed 833 transmission, .10 Dana 60, 96 ramcharger hood, ront disc brakes, nd center console. This GTX has been stored inside for the past 14 years and is structurally solid. The front/rear sub frames and torsion bar cross member are all rock solid; the trunk floor is incredible for a B body (see pictures); the cabin floor pans are good but will need some patches near the front of the floor pan on both sides (see pictures). Driver’s side cabin floor patch panel is included. Hood hinge areas are in great shape and the rear window corners are solid. The front windshield is missing but the channel around the windshield is perfectly solid and without rust. The rear frame rails are rock solid but the rear plate that the rear frame rails attach to has some rust (see picture of rear frame rails). It’s still structurally sound and wouldn’t require complete replacement; it could be patched easily. It has dents/dings on several panels. The car still has its original 150mph speedometer cluster. The dash frame is just resting in the car and is not bolted to the car, ut the VIN tag is still securely attached with factory rosette rivets. The radiator support stamping matches the VIN plate and fender tag. The engine/trans/rear end were taken long ago. An 8.75” rear housing (no diff) is under the car now. The grill has some cracks (that could epoxied on the back side) but the grill is in good shape overall. The only interiorin the car is the rear seat upper cushion that is pictured.I have both headlight bezels, ail lights, tainless rocker trim (will need some straightening), ed seatbelts, nd a couple odds and ends. Included is a brand new pair of Year One rear quarter panel skins, pair of outer wheel houses, nd a pair of trunk floor extensions. I don’t have the steering wheel (aftermarket wheel is included), eadliner, adiator, nterior, r front/rear bumpers for the car. Driver's door glass and passenger door handleare missing also. I have a clear Kansas title in my name. If you’ve ever restored an older car, ou know the value of starting with something solid. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I would love to keep it but a 68 charger is higher on my priority list.
I've got this car listed locally. Feel free to call with any questions at 316-250-8498
The wheels in the picture do not go with the car. I will have a set of rollers go with it.
Since I could only post 24 pictures on eBay, had a hard time narrowing it down. If you want to see lots of pictures of parts included and pictures from the inside/outside/under side of the car, ou can go to photobucket dot com and search for username 850XP. Once you find me, ts under "my old mopars" and then under the subfolder "1969 Plymouth GTX from GB".
Per request, added pictures of the fender tag and VIN plate. The paint has peeled off of the VIN plate but when I obtained a title, had the car inspected by the Kansas Highway Patrol, ho verified that the VIN plate was the original Chrysler plate.
