Plymouth Other 1974 Description

Gran Coupe Hardtop. It is kind of rare because most Gran Furys were four doors. It’s a two owner prior to me. First owner was a lady that drove it 50,000 miles, econd had it 13 years and drove it 18,000 miles. Currently has less than 70,000 miles. I have the original owner’s manual, wo Mopar shop manuals, any of the original service records and all of the receipts for what I’ve spent.

You see some low mileage old cars for sale. Figure on putting $10,000 into them replacing seals, orrecting age related electrical problems, eplacing tires, hocks, ebuilding steering, tc., tc., tc.

Mine has all of that done plus all the parking dings removed, ew 1977 Chrysler black sunfire mist (not show quality, ut very nice driver quality), ew seat upholstery, pholstered package tray, ew headliner and new carpet. Vinyl top is original and in good condition. Upholster, arpet and engine look gray in the pictures, hey are black.

All stock, xcept paint color; JVC stereo; add-on electric gauges; head & tail light covers; and dual exhaust. I have a period correct Carter Thermojet carburetor and manifold (not installed), hich with the new dual exhaust makes it the equivalent of the 1974 high performance engine. The 1974 engines never had smog pumps or catalytic converters, ut had hardened valves in preparation for converters that came in 1975, o this engine uses unleaded gas.

AC has been converted to 134a Freon and works very well.. The old R22 Freon costs over $100.00/lb. It hard to get and has to be installed by a technician licensed for R22. That is why many ads for old cars say “AC works, ust needs charged”. This car takes over 4 pounds, o I had it converted by a professional for about the same price as adding old style Freon. Any future charges required will be relatively inexpensive.

400 CID BB engine, orqueflite 727 transmission. The 400 is the recast 383 replacement.

Lowered 3” front, ” back. (Easy to change back, f you want original ride height.)

Perfect cruiser, ttention getter at local shows. See a lot of Impalas and Galaxies, ut you’ll be the only Gran Fury Coupe at the show. Ideal for getting the family into car shows, ruising, r Sunday drives for a reasonable cost.
