Plymouth Road Runner 1969 Description
1969 Road Runner 440
Car had over 20000 spent on it back in 2008 where it underwent a restoration of all the drivetrain suspension and dash along with the a/c. I have a lot of recipes for this car and a majority of them was from year one. All work was done by quality shops and in turn the car is turn key with no problems.
440 engine that was rebuilt with 2000 miles and dynoed at 550hp an 597lbs of torque...have the dyno sheet...eldebrock aluminum heads and intake roller rockerscomp solid cammsd wires and distributor new 750 carb with electric choke moroso oil pan the motor runs nice and smooth and fires right up no problem
727 transmission rebuilt with 2000 miles Kevlar bands installed and deep transmission pan new torque converter 2800 stall
8 3/4 rear end with a new rebuilt center section with 3.73 gears and sure grip posi traction new axles with green bearings
Front suspension was also rebuilt with polyurethane bushings from PST suspensions new big sway bar idler arm and torsion bars
New 20" Rev wheels and Toyo tires Front 20x9 245/40R20 Rear 20x10 275/40R20 The wheels and tires has a nice offset look so it give the car a aggressive stance!! They do not scrub!!
Car has updated wiring and a new fuse block
The brakes are power and it has new slotted and drilleddisc brakes on the front and 11'' drums on the back painted to match when car was repainted in 2014!
Dash was sent to year one and rebuilt the seats are in decent shape but could use some new foam in them the headliner looks pretty good the original a/c controls operate the new Vintage air a/c that blow as good as any modern day car. The heat also works on the car also. All the lights and turn signals work on the car as they should. The car fires right up and rarely ever gets over 190 it has a aluminum radiator along with a electric fan to keep the motorand a/c running and blowing cold. It rides nice and smooth and turns with ease with power steering and power brakes with new shocks all the way around. It doesn't haveno aggravating or noisy rattles while driving down the road or over bumps like most classics. The car has 3'' exhaust running all the way out the back into nice factory tips it has a nice sounding idle but is not annoying while driving. Car has a Pioneer radio with 4 alpine speakers the kick pretty good. The car was restored in 2008 but has a fresh paint job in the winter on 2014. At that time the new 20'' wheels and tires were installed also. The paint is in very good conditionand the body is nice and straight there is no rust on the car that I can see and the bottom looks very good with no rust also....The odometer shows a little over 53000 miles and is a factory a/c car. This Road Runner could be used as a daily driver or a weekend cruiser it is nice and reliable an gets a lot of compliments!! A lot of money was spent to get the car where it is today....
They aren't the best but atleast you get to hear and see videos of the car at: https://youtu.be/mUJRm-O2H1A
