Plymouth Barracuda 1970 Description

1970 Plymouth Barracuda RARE FM3 Panther Pink Documented with original Broadcast Sheet This car is the only one known to exist and could possibly have been the only oddball like this built. It is a factory /6. not the 225. oh no that's too much power. how about the 198 /6 !?! It is also a 3 speed manual on the floor not column. It has practically no options. such as manual steering. manual brakes. no A/C. about the only option on the fender tag was A93 which is a coupe package. which deleted the rear side windows from being operable! But somehow this car got checked off in the mid year high impact color panther pink. Talk about an odd but super cool car! Included with the car are the owner's manual. a MINT completely original fender tag still on the car. a perfect build sheet. and a copy of the 2nd owner's title from 1973. I would love to see this car restored back to original specs and then displayed with an original Pink 70 Hemi Cuda. The display would show the two opposite ends of the spectrum. I have not spoken to the original owner but the way that I imagine it. it went something like this: Young woman walks into a Plymouth dealer in 1970 and wants to order a Pink Barracuda. She had very little funds at the time so she worked diligently with the sales person to save every penny possible. The only thing that was important to her was the Panther Pink Paint. She pulled it off and scored her dream car. This car spent most of it's life in Texas before being brought to Arizona. There have only been 3 owners. The car will crank and run and It has recently been driven about 10 miles around town. The gas tank is leaking so it temporarily has a gas can up front. but a good barracuda gas tank is included. just need a few minutes to be installed. The engine does not have the VIN number on the block. but is a correct 198. so I'm not sure if its matching numbers or not but I believe that it is the original engine. The trans has the VIN on it and is definitely original. The rear is a 3. 23 non sure grip. The body is super clean. there is not any rust on the outer body panels whatsoever. It is as solid as you will find. Frame rails are MINT. The only thing this car needs besides typical resto is there are some small holes in the floor pans. under seats. and the center of the trunk pan needs replaced. The stainless trim has some dings. the bumpers are straight but need a rechrome. You will not find a better body on a 1970 barracuda project car. As you can see. the pink is rather dull and could use a respray. interior needs seat covers carpet and headliner. The wheels and tires are in nice shape. You could either make this a show stopper by fully restoring it and keeping it a /6. or you could leave it as is and take it to shows and the crowds will come just to check it out as it sits. OR you could put in a 440 or Hemi. change the 3 speed to a 4 speed and have a wicked Cuda clone. The options are endless on this car. One thing is for certain. pink on any 1970 mopar is rare and highly desirable. but a 6cyl FM3 car? Pretty crazy. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason. Thanks for looking and good luck! There is a very low RESERVE on this car. because I would like to make room in the garage. PLEASE SERIOUS BIDDERS only. I will consider trades up or down. I like 71 Cudas. Porsche. Ferrari. KTM. Ford GT. 71 Hemi Cuda. Cuda convertible. HellCat. etc
