Oldsmobile Cutlass 1985 Description
1985 Cutlass restomod street machine. I built the car in 2010-2011. Straight, virtually rust free garaged kept car. Everything on the car was replaced with new components. New GM Performance 350 shortblock. New Procomp aluminum heads with 64cc chambers, 190cc intake runners,Procomp 1.6 roller rockers. 2.05 valves and .550 max lift double springs. New Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake with a Summit 650 vac secondary and electric choke. MSD Streetfire ignition with Jegs 8mm wires. Stainless steel mid length headers going into a Jegs 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Summit welded chamber mufflers( Flowmaster50 equivalent). B&M ratchet shifter connected to a Jegs 350 Turbo trans with a Jegs 2300 stall convertor bolted to a G Force x member. New aluminum radiator with 2 1 inch cores and an external trans cooler.Has a 10 bolt rear with a Detroit Locker Tru Trac diff with 3.73 gears. Interior is all new. Carpe, headliner, windshield, floor mats. The interior is done up in dk gray vinyl and dk gray tweed on the lower sections. Dash was completely redone using Autometer Designer Black Series gauges. All trim is either black or silver painted aluminum. The seats are the originals but only covered in a black seatcover. All the lights, switches, and horn work. The suspension was completelystripped, sandblasted and painted before putting back on the car. New poly bushings, ball joints, bearings and tierods.Moog high rate spring on all corners. 648 lbs in front and 147lbs in the rear. Monroe Sensatrac shocks on all 4 corners. Car handles as good as any sports car. Rotors were new in front and pads/shoes replaced. Frame is rust free and has never been wrecked or bent. The car had 62,000 original miles when I built it. I've put roughly 10,000 on it but the speedo shows 3600ish because the plastic drive gear on the output shaft is worn..Easy to replace. I did all the work myself including bodywork( what little bit it need) and paint. Paint codes are WA519F(lighter) for the silver, WA8554 for the black and WA8774 for the red accent stripe. All rubber weatherstripping is brand new as is the window moldings and sweeps. Wheels are Riddler 695's. They are 17x7 in front and 18x8 out back with Nitto NT555 all around with about 95% tread left on them. A/C is complete just not functional. Need to have the hoses finished up and charged. Not sure if the compressor is good or not. Worked on the original 3.8 engine that was in it. Everything is tight and rattle free. Paint is super slick and scratch free. Just maybe a tiny rock chip here and there. The sound system is a Dual cd player with Sony 3 1/2 dash speakers and 4x6 rear speakers. There are 2 Rockford Fosgate 10 inch subsin a custom enclosure behind the rear seat with a Sony Xplode 600 watt amp. It also has the docking station for a Sirius/XM Satelite which I have an extra one in the console. Also included is a partially built Ford 8.8 rearend I was planning on installing. It has Disc brakes, 31 spline axles, limited slip diff with 4.10 gears. Just needs a few parts to finish and fabbed up to go in the car. Car will not disappoint. Has won countless trophies including "Best Paint" at car shows. The car is in great shape but is sold as is and without warranty. Thanks for looking.
