Oldsmobile Bravada 1994 Description
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada. We purchased this SUV in December of last year from the second owner who had the truck for about a year. The original owner was an older gentleman who purchased it new and kept it garaged here in south Florida until it was traded in on a new truck. The second owner unfortunately ran the truck low on oil and spun a rod bearing, o I purchased it barely running. My wife used to own a truck just like this about 10 years ago and we loved it so we decided to rebuild the truck for her to drive.
A little about me: I am an auto enthusiast who enjoys restoring older GM cars so this truck was built right with extreme attention to detail as that is the only way I know how to build them. So over a period of about 5 months I completely rebuilt this truck. I have over $5000 in this truck not including lots of my labor! Here is what has been replaced since I have owned it.....
The engine was pulled out and completely rebuilt with new crank, nd 1 rod, ew plasma moly rings, ew clevite 77 rod, ain, am, nd balance shaft bearings. Also replaced the balance shaft with new GM one, ew roller timing set, elling high volume oil pump, iming cover, ll Victor Reinz premium gaskets, ead bolts, heads were mildly ported with valve job, uides, nd seals. On the top end of engine I replaced with new ACDelco parts the fuel injectors, GR valve, uel lines, 2 sensor, lugs and wires, oses, elt, nd belt tensioner. Truck also has new radiator, ater pump, lternator, attery,A/C compressor, ccumulator, il cooler lines, otor mounts, elco fuel pump and sender.I also resealed the transmission with new input seal, hift shaft seal, nd replaced filter and fluid. Also replaced fluid in front and rear differentials. For the suspension and steering new Delco pitman arm and idler arm, orman upper and lower control arms with new bushings and ball joints. I put on new delco front brake rotors, ear wheel cylinders, nd rear drums, lus front brake pads are performance heavy duty Hawk pads so this truck stops very well.
For the fun stuff, dropped the truck about 2" using front lowering keys and rear blocks (I can put the truck back to stock height easily if that is what is preferred). Magnaflow cat back exhaust, ancho gas shocks, replaced all the tires with new Kuhmos and had the truck aligned. Inside I put in a JVC CD player with front aux input, nd all new pioneer speakers front and back, ut in stock style homelink in overhead console, ourced a brand new GM center console lid, entvisors on front doors and bug shield on hood. Also had front windows tinted to match the backs, nd had the windshield tinted with UV film to helpkeep the heat down inside.
I have the original owners manual, sets of keys and 2 keyless entry remotes, lus lots of receipts. I am sure I am forgetting something asI essentially replaced everything on this truck, nd since it was for my wife, only bought the best parts available as I didn't want any problems. She put about 4000 miles on the truck, ut has since taken a job that requires a much longer commute so we got her a smaller car and just no longer have a use for the Bravada. This truck runs, rives, tops, nd everything works, would not hesitate to get in and drive it anywhere. Take a look at the pics which I think speak for how nice and clean this truck is and if you have any questions please ask or you can call me at nine five four 914-8866. I always thought this would be cool to make into a four door GMC Typhoon as it is essentially the same truck minus the turbo.
Thanks for looking, nd Good Luck!!!!
