Oldsmobile 442 1970 Description
1970 442/ W-30Considered by many Oldsmobile ehnthusiastics the 1970 442 was Oldsmobiles star in the sky, this is my personal car so let me tell you a little bit about her. It under went a frame on restoration about 2 years ago since than I only put about 2500 miles on it, the floors and trunk are all original and is finished in a factory black satin finish along with the chassis, the car retains all its factory sheet metal along with its original OAI Hood, it has a new gas tank a rebuilt factory 323 12 bolt rear original to the car as well as the OW turbo 400 transmission which is matching to the cars vin, brand new front and rear suspension as well as the factory tires and rims. I just installed a rebuilt period correct 455 motor, it has less than 200 miles on it, runs and sounds great, it has the big valve C heads which considered by many to be one of the best 455 Oldsmobile heads, it has the original W-30 aluminum Intake as well as the W-30 Rochester Carb, the motor is 30 over and I had Dick Miller Racing custom grind me a cam to match the motor the transmission and the rear, I also installed a set of roller rockers and I'm running a 3000 stall converter, as for the exhaust its brand new from the headers to the flow masters, the car has a completely new brake system which includes rotors, drum, backing brake plates calipers wheel cylinders and new power brake booster and master cylinder along with proposition valve and brake lines, its a factory A/C car which everything is brand new, everything from the hoses to the condenser. The paint is a special order Ralley Red color and a pearl white interior both original to the car, the cowl tag has the 2 slashes for the color code which stands for Special Color. I do not have the Broadcast Card as a lot of us know Oldsmobile kept the worst records and on top of that came the fire that ruined the plant, but it does have the Matching Number OW Transmision that only came on the W-30's and matching rear and it's original his and hers shifter, this is a must see car, no dissapointments here. If you want more Pics I will send them, TY for looking.
