Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 1962 Description
Up for auction is a very nice original 1962 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Town Sedan which has always been a South Carolina car. The car has many factory options including deluxe wheel discs, aluminum side window visors, power seat, power brakes, power steering, wonder bar radio with station changer foot control and power antenna, automatic headlight dimmer, power trunk release, and safety sentinel buzzer. Oddly, the car does not have power windows or factory air conditioning, but it does have an add-on "Magic Aire" floor-mounted air conditioner (it still works!). The tires are brand new and the car runs and drives well. The brakes need attention and will be repaired as part of the selling price. The door panels, back seat, and headliner are all in mint condition. The dash pad exhibits several cracks. The package shelf behind the back seat is not misshaped or broken, but it does have several slightly discolored areas. The front seat is torn and pulled apart in the drivers area and the carpeting is faded. The very rare and desirable blue factory rubber Oldsmobile floor mats are in both the front and rear areas. There is minor paint bubbling on the right rear quarter panel.
For some reason, the original owner had the side trim removed when the car was repainted about ten years ago. All of the removed trim is stored inside the car and is awaiting the proper clips for reattaching. The car also comes with the original window sticker and owner's manual. The trunk is clean and includes the original spare tire.
I am selling the car due to not having the time to give it the attention it deserves. It has always been garaged as the condition attests. Please email through eBay with questions and I will do my best to answer them. Bidders are welcome from the 48 contiguous United States only, please. Also, you must have a successful eBay bidding history in order to place a bid on this car. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!
