Oldsmobile Cutlass 1994 Description
1994 Cutlass Supreme ConvertibleHere is a really cool Modern Classic already . Not many of these cars where
built and even less where kept up nice and few left on the roads.
My original plan was to keep it simple, ut pay some sort of tribute to the
HURST / OLDS Gold and white themed cars from the 70s. Add a few gold
W-30 Decals on the body and maybe a nicer set of 18" Alloy rims and tires.
And really have a modern classic you wont see at any other car event.
LOW Fair Reserve too.
Some brief history as we got it from the original owner here in Tucson.
Owned by an older lady since 94, he kept up all the repairs and maintance
as needed over the yrs. For the most part. While buzzing it around town I
noticed a clunk in the soft suspension, o I suspect it could use a new set
of struts all around soon, nd it may be ready for front brakes. Other then
that the car seems very mechanically okay. Cosmetically its showing some
wear but its minimal thanks to never having to use the back seat and the
car being parked in a garage most of its life.
I loved these cars when they came out and I love them even more
Now that they are more affordable. The styling on this car was way
ahead of its time, rom the Slim line front headlights to the built in
rollbar and factory 16" wheels. The car even looks like it came from
the factory with a body kit, hile outback, uad exhaust ! At least
they where trying back in the 90s.
DRIVETRAIN:under the hood is the original matching #s motor
3.4 DOHC V6. This was an the optional motor you wont find in many
of whats left of these cars on the road. Runs and sounds good, rans
shifts like normal and its fun to drive. Oil changes have been regular
over the yrs and nothing to report that the motor needs right away
other then maybe fix a small leak I noticed when under the car.
Also I mentioned its prob ready for new struts too. Motor doesnt make
any weird noises and doesnt smoke and has plenty of power.
TIres in decent shape too.
INTERIOR: very nice original charcoal leather interior which for its age
looks really nice. Only saw a few spots that really need immediate attention
but for a daily driver, t really needs nothing. If you where going to go the
extra mile and restore this car, t wouldnt take much at all to bring it back.
Check out all the pics below. These cars came from the factory with a built
in roll bar (which was nice when this model was used for the INDY Pace cars
back in 1988) but its a nice safety feature for a ragtop. Best I can tell all
the gauges etc are working, adio etc works and the AC blows COLD !
Dr side lower door panel is loose and has fallen off on me a few times.
I reinstalled it with a self tapping screw, ut it may come off again over time.
Its just the lower back part of the Dr door.
EXTERIOR: best we can tell, he paint outside is all original from
when it came from the factory. That means No Bondo No Rust repairs
and no previous accidents to report. For a car this old, lmost un heard
of. The 1 owner original car spent most of its life in a garage here in
Tucson when it wasnt being driven by a little old lady.
If you had the car detailed and did a nice clay / wax job done
to it, t would look so much nicer. It has 1 minor dent on the very front
of the hood, ard to see but its near the middle.
Also, n the trunk are the original tonneau cover and looks like to
be a parade boot top cover too, oth black that come with the car
and are factory pieces both in great shape.
Power Top and windows work great. Tops not in the best shape but
for every day use its fine. Will need to be replaced eventually.
Rear window in great shape and is glass.
SUSPENSION: the suspension is basically all original and stock
Steering feels good, ay need outter tie rod ends. Struts probably original
and feels mushy, ut then again its an Olds, o maybe thats how its
suppose to be ? I would do new struts on it if I kept it either way.
Original 16" Olds Alloy rims in really nice shape too with good tires.
For all its needs, he car still drives down the road okay for a daily
and handles decent around corners too.
This car is 99% rust free Arizona car
I have to say it, ts not your fathers Oldsmobile..
This is still a Muscle car that was part of the 80s Muscle Car Era.
Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, o be patient AND looks for the extra schroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.

The convertible top wasnt the best when I started the auction but as of last nite we got ahail storm thru here last night and and put about 10 holes in the top Im not too happy with it.
